We have just returned from a 3 night stay in a Oak caravan which was brand new and on a great plot just by the woods. We only went to the club once with our two girls aged 4 and 7 and they loved it even won prizes. Entertainment staff really good with the children. We have no negatives about our stay just a comment about the adults smoking by the play area, they could go to the decking area which is just far enough away that other people don't have to smell it.. Overall fantastic holiday and would go back again..

We stayed in a 2 bedroom lodge during Spring week. Reception were helpful and friendly and the lodge was ready when we arrived.

The lodge was large and had some good sized bedrooms but have to admit that we found it slightly run down and in need of some general maintanence (there were large cracks in both bathrooms and generally the property looked in need of redecorating.) I was also disappointed that the kitchen wasn't as clean as it could have been (food on the taps and cutlery and the two pans.)

The grounds were beautifully maintained and the setting was quite something (but you are out of the way.)

The swimming pool was fairly small and with two small children we difficulty when ball games were taking place with larger children. The pool was to busy to actually swim in.

The childrens outside play area was a treat. Clearly with new equipment it was well received but needed sun.

The bar was fine. Drinks were reasonably priced. The childrens entertainment was fine. The morning enteraintment never lasted longer than 30 minutes and didn't seem to be used by many of the children. The evening entertainment went down well with the children although the early disco didn't get many interested children.

We found the staff to be generally very helpful and friendly. I am not sure that we would go for a lodge again as it was rather pricey for what we got.

Stayed in a lodge Mon - Fri for the purpose of a relaxing break with my 7 month pregnant fiancee, and couldn't have chosen better.
The lodge was clean, spacious and well furnished, and its location on the river Tummel was very picturesque.
The food and drink in the resort was good and well priced, and the service was fine.
We used the pool a couple of times, and although a bit on the small side (and not very deep - 1.2m maximum) there was only a few people in it so it was good enough.
We went on a couple of woodland walks in were in the vicinity which were graded for varying fitness levels.
All in all we had a great time which hit exactly the right note. Once we have a little one it'll be an ideal place to go for a short break or a bit longer holiday

This is a lovely site well maintain we ate in the bar food was good and reasonable price didn't stay for entertainment as we just wanted a quiet break and we had our dog so plenty of walks. Would return but maybe try the lodges as caravans are little cramped in the bedrooms

Stayed here for 3 nights in a 'Fern' caravan (24 - 27 May) - found out on arrival at the caravan this was actually a 'Rio' caravan - sleeping 4 - 6. We were a party of 4 - me, my wife, 2 young boys (aged 3 and 1). The caravan was clean and comfortable. My only real bugbear here are the plastic mattresses - very uncomfortable - I understand the need for these but Parkdean should consider a material liner for these (not just a sheet).
I thought the kids play area down at the river was very good (seemed liked mostly new equipment) and they looked as if they were about to add another attraction at the end. However this was let down by a lack of designated smoking area for the bar / dining area which overlooks the play area - (there are tables were it is intended the kids can play snakes and ladders etc. here - the games are printed on the tables - however they were used for smokers having their drinks on more than one occasion and feel this needs sorting out).
There is a woodland walk at the top of the park which is suitable for small children and a pond full of sticklebacks which my boy enjoyed. Lovely Loch Tummel, Pitlochry and countryside are close by.
We had lunch and dinner on one occasion with the kids in the dining area and the meal, service and value for money was fair. I can't comment on the entertainment as we were happy with the local scenery and attractions. The onsite shop is well stocked also.
The holiday park was generally clean, staff friendly but let down slightly by the points above.

Just Back from Tummel Valley which I mostly enjoyed. The weather when I was there was superb nice and warm as you need that when you are there. We were in a spruce caravan for 3 days and It was pet friendly which was a way up the top of the park near the ducks so it was a far walk to the reception etc. The caravan was mostly clean but the radiators were full of dust. Plenty of room to move about but the space beside the caravan to park your car was a little small , you could only park a smart car in it. The staff are friendly and work plenty of hours a day.
There is no internet wifi in the caravans etc only the bar but it wasn't working at the time. The takeaway was ok and is small portions. The arcade has some machines but they need up dated and the women who looks after them always resets the teddy grabber machines and moves all things in the penny falls machine which I found appalling and shocking. The pool is good and the entertainment at night could be improved a bit. The food was good and a reasonable price. You cant fish at the park you need to walk about 10 mins as you get shifted off the water by staff and you cant paddle in the water incase it gets to high so the staff say. You have to be out before 10am to depart. It was a good holiday but I may try somewhere else next time.

Room Tip: The spruce caravan has 3 bedrooms but it makes the kitchen smaller, try to get a 2 bedroom one.
