The whole park, particularly the childrens play area and pool area was very well maintained. Also found the staff helpful and friendly. Well located for exploring the surrounding area - we went on many short walks with the kids in and around the Tay Forest.

had a lovely 4 nite break at tummel valley in a caravan...... lovely site which was clean and well stocked shop, do not buy souveniers in pitlochery before checking out the shops price first!!! only complaint is the heat in the caravan it was freezing at nite, with only 1 gas fire in the living room area the rest of the caravan was freezing. there was nothing to light the fire with as the automatic ignition was broke we had to light paper from the cooker and light the fire that way... not very health & safety!!! told the reception but no firelighter provided! only complaint tho! beautiful area, lovely site and well worth a visit. x

Room Tip: choose accomodation with central heating, its a must in scotland.

This is our 4th visit to the Riverside Lodges at Tummel and we had a lovely time again. The refurbished restaurant/entertainment centre was a nice surprise and the staff are so helpful and cheery. The only BUT bout the holiday is the checkin/checkout times which are completely inflexible and for a family with 4 young children proved a challenge! We were hoping to sneak in2 our lodge wee bit early 2 be able to get back 2 pitlochry for some shopping but NO WAY and they were even reluctant to let us store a wee bit luggage to make room in car 4 shopping! The standard of the lodges has slipped slightly with some bulbs needing to be replaced and no instructions for appliances etc. My big gripe is that they have the cheek to ask u to put all used linen in black bags on departure and leave at the door!!! Why would I pay all this money for a holiday only 2 have 2 strip beds etc especially when I have 2 get 6 of us out the accommodation by 10am!!! Needless to say I didn't carry out this "request"!! Still our favourite holiday park though :-)

Felt I had to write a short review as felt quite strongly that some previous reviews were unjust and unfair. We stayed Monday to Friday in a caravan which was very well kitted out, clean and cosy. The park itself is very well kept and maintained. Found all the staff very friendly and most helpful. Although the entertainment isn't my cup of tea, my 3 year old loved it and essentially that why we were there. The area is very beautiful and well worth the drive on the narrow, winding roads. Only drawback in my mind is the midgies, would recommend taking some "skin so soft".

Room Tip: Lodges are very close to the fast flowing river, a worry if you have small children with you.

I was for the first time in Tummel Valley....our friends (we were with 4 adults and 2 kids, 13 and 14 years old) were last year at Dean Park....but then they had a caravan....near the football field.....
The lodge was nice and clean...
Warm and the electric fire place was so nice and cosy......
The kitchen was beautifull and complete but the pans and the pots to small for making breakfast or diner for 6 persons......
We bougth a bigger pan at the Asda for frying the eggs, sliced sausages and bacon in the morning......
That is a minus..........cooking spaghetti for 6 persons in a pan that suits only for 2 or 3 persons is impossible.......
The microwave and oven were perfect....the diswasher was a gift....I hate diswashing.....
There is also a washing machine, and that is handy of you are staying longer then a week.....you can even ironing the clothes......

Two bathrooms....that was perfect for us because we had two family's......the bedrooms are small and very warm....their are no screens for the window's so I wouldn't open the window's because of the midges or musquito's
And when the window's are open their is no lock...so everybody can open the window's wide and step in when you are sleeping............
That is not a pleasant thought,,,,,,,,

But the rest was really more then expeted....
The park was clean....and it looked very nice and friendly.....
The people at the reception and the bar are very nice....
The coffee is really very good...I loved the coffee latte.......
We didn't get for the entertainment because we don't like that, but the children liked it very much, so they went and they loved it..........also the playing hall......

The swimming pool is small but really clean and what I didn't like was that we could not take any picture of our children playing together in the pool....
it's for privacy reasons but I only would take a picture of our owns........

It's a very good place to be.........and I love the scenery to get their......
it was a beautiful week....
we traveled more then 1100 miles and the views were so beautifull.....
I loved my staying in Scotland again........
