Big and beautiful golf course. With very friendly and patient caddie. The sea view at hole 8 and 9 was amazing.

We had two great games at Ria Nontan Ocean blue/green course. It is challenging, but rewarding - bring lots of golf balls! It must be a common problem as they sell used balls on the 5th hole! The course is in beautiful condition and this Gary Player designed course has amazing views and is a joy to play.

This is an outstanding golf course with amazing facilities.

We played this and Bintan Lagoon which are similar prices all included and this is a significantly better course.

One of the real highlights was the quality of the hire clubs - they're top notch recent generation TaylorMade clubs in good condition. Buggies are also pristine and the caddy services excellent.

Only real downside with this versus Bintan Lagoon is Lagoon offers an Esky to keep your drinks cold while you get around the course. A minor problem all considered given how beautiful and challenging this course is.

It's a definite highlight for me, the front 9 is absolutely beautiful.

Thank Robert P

Golf membership is expensive in Singapore and a lot of golfers find it cheaper
to take the 1 hour catamaran trip across to Ria Bintan for a Golf weekend.
The course has been carved out of the forest and in places runs down to the waters edge. Its a fun course to play and well maintained. Not very challenging but with enough hazards. One of the hazards are the monkeys. After hole 9 you come out into the forest where they are generally hanging around in gangs looking for opportunities. If you leave your golf buggy with bags and personal possessions unattended on the cart whilst you are on the green you will suddenly find them swarming all over it looking for anything interesting. They can even unzip pockets and have made off with bags and passports when chased. But generally this is a pretty course and fun to play. Caddies are obligatory and they are all local teenage girls who are probably not paid and rely in your good tips. If you hit your balls into the long grass they seem willing to brave any snakes and retrieve them and they will chase the monkeys away as well. Half way around you will find locals who have retrieved lost golf balls and sell them ten to the bag for next to nothing. This resort is in the tropics so its humid and thunder storms regularly occur. The sirens will sound to abandon your game. If you have paid for your round and can't even start then tough luck - you will have lost your green fee. The club has a decent hotel and is ok for the weekend. The restaurant is ok for breakfast and lunch but its either not open in the evening or no one uses it. You will need to go outside the resort for other restaurants.
