It is great place to stay peacefully with full of trees, rivers surrounding. But no no non-veg and you need to adopt their ayurvedic kind of foods. room service is good. Can try massage there.

Every single member of the resort staff was very warm and kind. The rooms were pretty basic on the inside but the property itself was very nice. It was in an isolated area but I didn't feel like I had to leave the resort because of how nice the grounds were. They had a nice swimming pool and tennis court and there were alot of activities offered. My favourite part of my experience was being able to try new things.

This was booked for us by a travel agent as part of a trip around Kerala. I thought that the sound of a spa was great part way through our trip, but I didn't realise that the resort took the Ayuverdic concept so seriously - we arrived in the early evening and had a choice of 2 set vegetarian dinners (diet or non-diet!) with no alcohol allowed.

The lights are turned off at 10pm around the resort as everyone is expected to be in bed early to get up for yoga and/or meditation. There was no hot water in the showers, and the in-room guide suggested that you don't use the pool as it might contravene the therapies.

Having said this, the cottages were nicely located and furnished, and the massage was great and luxurious - a real highlight of the stay (although 10 times the price that we paid for a similar massage but in far simpler and less clean surroundings elsewhere in Kerala). The doctor/therapists seemed very experienced, competent and friendly.

If you are an Ayuverdic guru then I'm sure that this place would be great for you, but if not I'm not so sure that I would recommend it.

I visited the Resort in Feb, 07 & I loved it. It is definitely one of Kerala's highlights, a boon for people looking for Ayurvedic treatments & you must visit this place if you are going to Kerala.
I would say when you are looking for Ayurvedic treatments this is the place for all Ayurvedic enthusiasts. Also the murmur of flowing waterbody, shrill cry of birds, greenery all around makes it an ideal setting for experiencing a true Ayurvedic Holiday.

I happened to stumble upon this resort while on my trip to India recently, and was very glad I did. It was a peaceful almost soul-calming experience. The lush green gardens, the wonderful staff and the great overall environment was a big positive. On top of that the ayurvedic spa treatments were also an amazing experience. Having been to many different resorts across the country I fell that Kairali definitley is in the top 2-3 as far as enjoying a great peaceful holiday in one of the gems of the Indian Subcontinent i.e. Kerela. This is not one to be missed by anyone.

Kairali was an experience that one cannot forget. They provided the best of services which one can ask for. The place is a great relaxation spot that is well placed. The beauty of the natural scenary brings out Kairali resort and makes it an amazing place to go to.

I personally had a splendid time and would recommend others to experience the beautiful resort for the services it has to offer. The resort was everything i expected it to be and more. The rooms are very clean and spacious. There were little touches like flowers in the bathroom, bedroom and on arrival.

The massage itself was a feeling that is indescribable. The warmth of the oil and its fragrances brings out a soothing massage.

The staff are courteous and very helpful. Everyone at the resort went above the call of duty which is a lovely touch.

I am so glad I had a Kairali experience.
