“Peace, beauty and comfort.”
Reviewed October 9, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Nestling under the shadow of the Preseli Mountains in the National Park, among 8 acres of a loving tendered small holding land, this is as good as it gets. If you are looking to get away from it all, stay in a beautiful and immaculately appointed little residence, then this is for you. No kidding.

The Old Pottery features a comfy double bed, shower & wc, lounge area with books, CD player and a selection of CD's, a TV. The kitchen has the most wonderful metal boxed fireplace into which you can load locally and sustainably sourced firewood supplied by the farm house next door. The water supply is taken straight from the mountain spring on the mountainside at the back of the house. There's none better. Fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, gas hob/oven.

There are seating areas outside to sit and enjoy the peaceful surrounding, watch the local birdlife. You have to ford a small stream to get to the Old Pottery, which adds to the sense of charm and adventure.

In summary - I spent years being disappointed by over hyped, half baked rental accommodation but this is honestly the real deal.

“Wonderfully relaxing, couldn't ask for more”
Reviewed September 24, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

So peaceful and relaxing in beautiful surroundings yet only a short drive to places to visit and the coast path.
Ideal for anybody with a dog as ours loved the freedom of the adjoining meadow as well as the garden and local walks.
The cottage is spotlessly clean and very well equipped with an eye for comfort and detail

The hills are your first insight into what you are about to encounter, don't let the bumpy track put you off as we did it in our Skoda and you get used to it after a couple of drives, it is worth it for what you are about to behold. Cosy, comfy, home from home, cute and adorable cottage. Perfect location into any place you should wish to visit, stacks of info for you to browse, more than you can do in a week/fortnight. Everything provided just bring yourself, some provisions and a stout pair of shoes/boots as you will want to get up on them thar hills. Thanks Babs and Matt for sharing your piece of Pembrokeshire. With hopes to return one day.

It was a pleasure to have you here and what an active week you had. You covered lots of ground, but there is still masses to do here in Pembrokeshire. Next time perhaps try to fit in a trip to Skomer. June or July are great times to go there to see puffins and masses of other bird life. Hope to see you here again.

“Quiet, Peaceful, Beautiful”
Reviewed July 21, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

If you are looking for an 'off the beaten track' location, then The Old Pottery is just the place. Wonderful for walking on the Preseli hills right outside your door, or a short drive to anywhere in Pembrokeshire and south Wales.
The Cottage is beautiful, with everything you would need if you feel like a restful, peaceful break.
I cannot speak highly enough for location, presentation, or Matt and Babs who are the perfect hosts!
We have been many times to this wonderful cottage and will no doubt be visiting again!
