A beautifully presented 2 bedroom apartment with a private covered terrace in the small village of Moussoulens with views over to the Pyrenees and ideally situated for visiting Carcassonne and the many other local attractions. The apartment is very stylish, comfortable, well equipped and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The highlight for us was the wonderful swimming pool which was very welcome after exploring the surrounding villages each day. A 5 minute walk takes you to the village bakery to buy mouth-watering pastries and freshly baked croissants for breakfast and there is also a small village grocery store and restaurant. Sue our English host was very welcoming and provided a lot of information. We were sad to leave.
Our second visit to Les Bergeries. Clean, well equipped property in a great location. Easy to just hang out by the pool but also loads to see and do nearby and only 15mins drive from the airport. Owner on site is helpful and she gets the right balance between help and info and just leaving you to do your own thing. A very peaceful and relaxing holiday.
We really loved this apartment and enjoyed a really relaxing, peaceful stay. The setting, on the edge of the village, is really quiet and peaceful.
Amenity wise, it had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub are lovely, a great way to cool off after a day of touring and sightseeing. The apartment is tastefully furnished, beautifully clean and well equipped. There are maps of the region and a very useful guide provided by Susan which will help you find attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc. We also found the off street secure parking very helpful as many aprtments don't have this available.
Susan was the perfect host, helpful and welcoming whilst never intruding at all. If there was anything we needed to know which wasn't in the guide then we only had to ask.
Moussoulens is a typical small French village surrounded by vineyards. It has a handy village shop and bakery for essentials. We found it a perfect base to explore the region, within easy reach of Carcassone, the Canal du Midi, the Cathar Castles and the Minervois region.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
This was a lovely village to stay. There was a wonderful bakery, small shop, post office and restaurant. Everything needed for day to day .la Sulana was equipped with everything you could need and was well designed and furnished. Sue and Louis were super hostes. Helpful and welcoming, they even found a restaurant my vegan son and his wife could eat and gave advice on the area.
We spent a month at A Sulana. Sue made us feel right at home, and the house was spacious even for our large family. The location was ideal for us, as we used it for a central home base, and visited many nearby attractions/cities. My kids especially loved that she had a pool and bikes that we could use. Sue had wonderful suggestions for things to do and see. We had planned to visit the cave paintings in Bordeaux, and she pointed us in the direction of Foix, which was far less touristy, and had authentic paintings instead of reproductions. Thank goodness we listened to her, as it was one of the high points of our amazing trip. I highly recommend A Sulana, and we absolutely love Sue!
We have just returned from a wonderful break at A Sulana. The property itself had everything (and more) that you could possibly need and had the most wonderful views from the garden. Sue had thought of everything and a thoughtful welcome pack was unexpected and very much appreicated.. A very useful guide was provided which included information which we used daily and discovered beaufiful places I am certain we would not have found without the guide provided. The property was so peaceful and relaxed it really was the best medicine for us all. The pool and hot tub were amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough and would recommend and will certainly return. Thank you Sue x

Thoroughly enjoyed this holiday. The accommodation was pleasant and beautifully decorated with a room for the kids and another for me and my wife, both with showers. We shared an apartment which was one of three other guest gites which share the same plot as the owners house.
There was a hot tub and pool which had great views over the countryside and the free wifi meant that the kids were happy even when not occupied by days out.
In terms of the area there were lots to do. We drove to mountains for rafting, visited a local lake/park which had a range of activities and went to Montlieu which had some nice restaurants.
The owner Sue and her husband were very helpful and they even loaned us bikes to see the countryside. Loved it, thanks very much.
