Though it is not visited as much as the American cemetery in Normandy, this one outside of Saint-James is just as grand and goes to show you that those who lost their lives in WWII are not forgotten. The cemetery grounds are kept immaculate. The staff is readily available to answer questions and assist as needed. The staff has a vast knowledge of the history of the battles in and around the area. Highly recommend asking the staff to visit the top of the tower in the chapel to look out over the country side and take in the cemetery from a bird’s eye view. You can see all the way to Mont Saint Michel from the tower. Well worth a visit.
