Good average italian restaurant. Good food and good service. Stuffed with to many tables due to shortage of room.

Sunday night: the agriturismo announces there is no dinner (unlike last night). What to do? Cruise the one-street town that is Pergusa; nothing open at 7pm. Not very promising. Park and take a chance: 'mangiare?' says a lady, who leads the way down a dark passage past the unprepossessing bar which fronts onto the road. She switches on the lights and a vast cavernous restaurant is revealed, creamy linen, sparkling glasses, wine bottles lining the walls. Despite being empty at 7, it soon filled up and was packed by 930. The food is served in plentiful portions: my bresaola was small mountain with rocket and parmesan. The costoletta da Carlo an even bigger mountain. Just ask for a litre of wine: the local stuff is very drinkable at €5.

We arrived about 2.30 on a Sunday and the place was packed. From the outside on the main road the entrance, alongside their cafe is not inspiring. When inside however it is much better. The staff were quick to attend to us. They were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and in true Sicilian styke plentiful. It was a great visit to a place that we would not have found if our accommodation had not mentioned it.

The food was well presented and full of flavour. Prompt service the moment you walk inside. The pizzas are particularly flavoursome.

Staying at a local B & B and food choices locally are not many. This place was suggested and on a quiet Friday evening in May...it delivered. Good seafood selection for starters and then two excellent pasta courses followed by a little grilled lamb.A small amount of local white vino and we had gone through 50 euros....all very well spent The place is a locals haunt and all the better for it.
