If you want a pub meal in village atmosphere at a reasonable price then this is for you. The menu was of reasonable length the food was a high pub standard. There was the alternative of the normally busy bar and a small restaurant. The service was variable depending on which member of staff you were allocated and how busy they were.
A word of warning. Immediately outside the front door there is a steep step which can catch you by surprise as was the case with my wife who had a very nasty fall. Despite recommending to the manageress that a warning should be placed on the door none had appeared by the end of our holiday.
