It was a real joy to be able to see such a historic and remarkable structure.
They are building a new bridge just a little way up the river which hopefully will take some of the traffic off the covered bridge. It is slow because it is only one way but who cares - its a great feeling to go through it. I wonder how many cars have been though it?

Yes, it is a bridge, a looong bridge. However you go about it, one is not sure if it's a tunnel. Funny.

Nice to appreciate the history of the area with a working covered bridge that is the longest in the world. Our two exchange students really enjoyed seeing it as they had never heard of this before coming from Japan and China.

I love going to this bridge because it brings back wonderful childhood memories. It was nice to share it with my children. It's in a beautiful area, so if you have the time don't miss it. It's not far from the highway and doesn't take long. Good photo opp. Cute little gift shop as well.
