“Outstanding hospitality, perfect place to relax”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

My husband and I decided we needed a getaway from the city, and booked at Ghost Hill Road at the last minute. We were so lucky there happened to be one night available and from the moment we made contact with Ghost Hill Road we were incredibly well looked after. Brenda is the perfect host.

Whilst we had the space to enjoy our gorgeous little cottage, cosy fireplace and serene surroundings ... Brenda had no hesitation in accommodating last minute requests, and made us feel really special by holding a private yoga session for the two of us and moved some things around to fit in a massage.

The place was immaculate, fresh linen, no spiders or anything which given the bush location and the potential for creepy crawlies, we were really surprised. I loved the fact the fridge was stocked full of yummy breakfast food... really wholesome, fresh juice, cheese and crackers and a lovely suprise bottle of champers.

The double spa bath was lovely and there are candles in both the room and bathroom. Brenda really has everything covered, it felt like a home away from home with all sorts of condiments, napkins, sauces, everything.

We had a BBQ dinner which was excellent and because the grand final was on, my husband had access to the live coverage on TV... he was happy.

The property is fantastic, we went for a walk in the morning - its great to get out in the fresh mountain air. There are so many walks and everything close by... Brenda had lots of good recommendations for us.

I'm not a huge dog fan, but the ones they had on the property weren't intrusive and never came in the cottage.

Very rustic and romantic for a couples getaway. Great offerings to have yoga and massages on sight. Food provided is exceptional and homely.

I would highly recommend this place for the value, the experience and hospitality.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Half Moon cottage, which is very close to the main house. I would book the other co...

Fantastic hospitality from word go.....Brenda is the ultimate host.....from the gorgeous cabin with open fire, stack of dvds, spa bath, ultra comfy beds to the bbq hamper on arrival, fresh local produce for a cooked breakfast the next morning, champagne, cheese, juice. You name it she has it sorted.....not to mention she is also a fantastic Yoga teacher with a great sense of humour....complimentary morning classes overlooking the beautiful scenery. We both felt completely recharged by the end of the weekend. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure :)

A lovely combination of rustic and romance for us. The cabin we stayed in was lovely, well equipped, well insulated (it was cold snap during our stay) set in private spot on 20 acres of lush woods. Also very close (10 min drive) to Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens. Well worth a visit. Highly recommend this venue (Ghost Hill) to stay at. Will be back. Also close enough but far away enough from Sydney.

We stayed in the Crescent Moon Cottage at Ghost Hill Rd for the first two nights of our honeymoon in July. The cottage is fantastic with beautiful prints in each room and a real rustic feel. We loved the double spa, even though it was a bit tight for two 6ft giants. The open fireplace was brilliant to sit and watch sipping the complementary champagne. The owner, Brenda was a great host, we will definately stay here again.

We had a fantastic 4 days in what has no become known as our "cabin in the woods", which was one of the 3 lovely cabins tucked away in a valley a few hundred metres from the main house where the optional, but exceptional yoga and extras such as massages, take place. Cabins are more than fully equipped, plenty of wood for the open fire and double spa. Great hosts, lovely food, best location mean we will be back soon.

This is our second trip to Ghost Hill Road, Our girls weekend away came up this time last year and we loved it so much we came back again. Apart from the lovely location, Ghost Hill Road offers free yoga-on-the-verandah, a generous amount of nice food to put in the fridge, a great wood fire, cooking facilities, even a spa bath, and plenty to keep us busy for the weekend. Brenda is a great host and a patient yoga teacher. The rooms in the cottage we stayed in are very comfortable. The only thing we would suggest is a rug on the floor upstairs, the wooden floor is a bit noisy if you are sleeping downstairs (me) and your friends are walking around bright and early upstairs (conclusion: if you are an early riser, sleep downstairs). But the location is very quiet and unless you have early risers upstairs, nothing will disturb you. Our cottage was great and we will definitely be back again.

My boyfriend and I have been here 4 times now and love it. We stay in new moon which is modern but they also have the older cabin which also looks great. It has the great cosy fire, amazingly comfy beds, great food, wildlife ( including their dog porche who sits on your decking and greets you ) and it is so peaceful. Yoga on Saturday morning up at the house is great, the massive spa bath is always a treat. The family that own this are lovely also, couldn't ask for more. Going back again in a few weeks and cant wait. Take some DVD's and chill out (although they do have some DVD's already there). Its very close the botanic gardens which is a great day out and its not too far from leura for shopping.
