Great casual dining restaurant at Palm Beach. Food was very good and reasonable prices. Service was good also.

Have now been to Dunes on six occasions over the past few years. Our experience is that the service is prompt, efficient and friendly irrespective of whether we have gone there for lunch or dinner.
Comfortable layout of the restaurant ensures that there is adequate room between tables - a choice of indoors, under the large marque or on the outdoor patio provides good alternatives.
On our last visit we had entrees of scallops and mussels and for mains we chose the snapper and pork belly. As always the food was well-presented, of the highest quality and more than adequate. It arrived without delay.
The wine list provides a good range and the pricing is typical of most restaurants.
We also had lunch the next day at the kiosk adjoining the restaurant and once again we were very satisfied with the wraps we ordered. The lunch time menu is extensive with focaccia, quiche, fish and chips as examples of what is on offer. Also enjoyed the coffee. Great location.
We will go back on our next holiday to Palm Beach
Booking for dinner is recommended.

We have often eaten at this restaurant but never again. Location is great and the food quite good. Service is generally reasonable. However, on our most recent visit with friends, we noticed that we were charged an extra $9 for a glass of wine which we didn't have (we took our own and had some left over). Mistakes do happen and one would have thought that there would be a quick apology and a refund of the small sum overcharged. But no. We had a long wait at our table before someone I took to be the owner finally appeared with a docket for the wine saying, quite rudely, that he himself had filled out the docket and that it must have been ours. We reiterated that it had nothing to do with us before he disappeared and, after a while, sent the waitress back with $9 cash. No apology of course!

We went to Dunes for a family birthday get together. The food and service was excellent apart from the owner who couldn't bring herself to smile all night to her customers!!
