We took this trip at sunset, and I have got to say it was magnificent. We were lucky enough to see the dolphins jumping in the inner bay before departing the harbour. This was a very interesting and factual trip as Luke the skipper is a marine biologist.

Our first stop was at the lobster pots where we were allowed to touch or hold the lobster and spider crab that was caught in the pot, they were then released back into the ocean.

We were very fortunate to see two dolphins playing in the water and leaping into the air, they even swam right under the boat-they were that close! We continued our trip a bit further south and encountered some seals as well as a whole range of birds such as guillemots.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend this trip for all ages, it was a brilliant experience and would definitely go again!

This boat trip may be a little more expensive than the others, but just wait until you are out at sea and one of the others passes by, jammed full of passengers and little chance to talk to the guide. Sea Mor takes about a dozen, there is a marine biologist as skipper who was great. He has all the facts at his fingertips, and a terrific way with children. We took our 5 year-old grandson, who was able to ask all his questions, help pull in the lobster pots and even steer the boat back in to the harbour. The trip was an hour and a half; we went across the bay to pull up their lobster pots which was a really good extra bonus, as it was interesting to see what was in them (a score our day of two lobsters and four spider crabs, as well as prawns in the smaller pot). We then went further out, and of course they cannot guarantee seeing dolphin. they know where they are likely to be and there is a good chance. We've been lucky both times. They also do an evening trip we've yet to try.

I had a great time on a SeaMor 1.5 hour boat trip. It obviously helped that it was on one of the hottest days of the year so far and the water was calm and crystal clear. The fact that the skipper was a marine biologist made all the difference and he ensured that he passed on interesting facts throughout. We saw dolphins, a seal, large bird colonies and got to see all kinds of things on the sea floor when we stopped in the shallows in a secluded bay. Getting to see things caught in the company's lobster pots out in the bay was also great as was holding a big spider crab (if not a little scary!). It's Worth paying a little more for this trip compared to the others on offer in New Quay as it is great only having to share the experience with 8-10 o0ther people. All in all really fun, relaxing and interactive - highly recommended.

We have visited New Quay three times but this time we really wanted to do a trip a lot looked quite commercial and I had a good look online and once i met the SeaMor ladies near the Old Watch House we decided this is defiantly the trip for us! Our 6 year old loved every second of it , the trip was so informative about the area and all the sea life, we got to handle the crab and touch the lobster and a dolphin swam right past our boat! The memories will last a lifetime, my 6 year old isnt going back to school for another 6 weeks but is already asking me to get all the pictures sorted so he can do show and tell :) Thanks again.. and honestly just book it you will not be disappointed!

We went on the sunset trip and it is something I will remember for the rest of my life. Luke, the skipper, and Jess, the guide, were both absolutely phenomenal. They're full of interesting anecdotes and facts about the wildlife, the history of the area and the geographical features, and will eagerly answer any questions you have. Not only do you (hopefully) see dolphins, it's quite an up close and personal trip because you also stop by SeaMor's lobster pots and have the opportunity to look at, learn about and even hold whatever is in the pot (we had spider crabs and lobsters when we went). Obviously they throw the animals back in the sea after we have a look. We saw a few dolphins that came right up close to the boat and swam around in front of us. Combine that with the incredible red and orange sunset and well... you can't really ask for much more can you?

If you do one boat trip while you're in New Quay, choose this one. We went on other ones too, and this is the best one by far.
