“Great Dinner and Family Friendly Too...”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

Staying in Heathrow area, we were looking for a place to eat in the area and chose The Swan at Iver based on Tastecard availability.
We arrived in a downpour (nothing they could do about that!) but we were welcomed and settled quickly at a nice table. One thing I appreciated was that our son's meal, while from the children's menu, was well presented and made him feel like a grown-up! I would have liked what he had... :-)
The other dishes were well constructed, well presented and very tasty.
With the Tastecard the bill was very reasonable but I would say it was very much worth the money had we not had the option.

“Excellent country pub”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

This recent visit was the first time I have been in The Swan for many years and I was delighted to see that its appearance has changed very little. We enjoyed a very nice lunch in the garden, the service was friendly and helpful - no hesitation in thoroughly recommending The Swan.

“Sunday roast as it should be!”
Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

Went to the Swan on a Sunday afternoon and both had roasts (chicken and pork). Plates are huge and well filled, great vegetables and extra gravy. Completely like a pub roast should be! For dessert we had bread and butter pudding and Eaton mess. The mess was nothing special but the b&b pudding ... OMG ... don't miss out on the b&b pudding! AMAZING! Nice big pub, you'll find a table to your liking. In front of the tv, in the lounge, restaurant or outside. Would definitely go again!

“A terrific local pub”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

We recently had Sunday dinner here with 10 friends -- seniors, their adult children, and those people's young children. We had no reservation, and the restaurant was very busy, but the hostess cheerfully said "we can do that", and set up a nice table in a quiet area. The menu is extensive, and includes a "Sunday Roast" section -- besides all the usual meals, on Sundays you can order roast pork with crackling, roast beef, roast chicken, and roast lamb. And, if you can't decide, they'll give you a slice of each! Great flexibility. The meals were delicious, with excellent vegetables, a well-made gravy, and a waitress who cheerily kept beverages coming, and brought extras as requested. There's an impressive list of desserts as well; those who had desserts or puddings cleaned their plates and kept saying "this is good...". It was a busy day at the pub -- first real Spring day -- and people kept coming in, but the pub kept up with the demands. A great spot for a Sunday special meal, or any day.
