Lhamo's is run by a family, which is evident when you can see their kids running around. Everyone is very friendly, and there are not many people there, making for a nice quiet atmosphere. The croissants, while very good, definitely do not taste like other croissants I've had - they are much denser and not light and fluffy. Still, they warm them up for you, and it's definitely worth getting a few of the chocolate ones! As far as food goes, the salad was served in a very generous-size bowl. The copious amounts of orange carrot and balsamic dressing made me feel like I was in a cafe in the States, and the lettuce was crunchy and fresh. This is definitely the best place in town to go for a salad if you are craving crunchy vegetables and delicious dressing. The spinach quiche was also quite good, albeit a bit on the small side. We wish we would have discovered Lhamo's earlier in our stay!

The owner-chef was trained in the art of french pastry. She does a marvelous job. Her chocolate croissant is the best this side of Paris!

This is a nice little family run bakery with mouthwatering items like croissant, cinnamon rolls and cookies.
Enjoy the food with a cup of coffee.

there was a good atmosphere there, unique and tasty dishes (great fresh salads!). in addition they showed a film each day - related to the Tibetians refugee , the staff were all kind, friendly and welcoming. the only downside was the relatively high price.

I've been coming here since 2009. As an Englishman living in India, I sometimes crave home-cooked food with a European flair. This place never disappoints.
Whether it is a sunny day (there is a rooftop with incredible mountain views) or tipping down with rain (Dharamsala gets 3.4 metres annually, most in July), this place caters to coziness and open-air dining in equal measure.
DK and his wife Lhamo run the place. They are the essence of Tibetan hospitality. He provides much of the service while she does much of the cooking.
The vinaigrette is incredible. I always ask for double. The salads have the freshest ingredients (typically for india, the restaurant is vegetarian), and there are home made quiches and cakes.
If you are feeling under the weather (McLeod Ganj has several decent bars), try their soup, topped with yak cheese, served with chunky home made bread. As their menu states: "It is always time for soup".
