“Delicious menu; amazing value”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

I've just spent a week in McLeod and ate at Gakyi's most days. It's an unprepossessing little place on the Jogibara Rd, small, clean, often full at lunch and breakfast time and serving a varied menu of Tibetan and Western dishes. The spinach cheese momos, lamen with garlic sauce and garlic potatoes are particular highlights, and it does an excellent special muesli. Portions are on the generous side and prices more than fair. Friendly and efficient staff.

“Amazing vegetarian food!”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

Being hardcore non-vegetarians, we cannot imagine my food without meat. But having read such good reveiws about Gayki, we had to try it out. So, on our 4th visit to Mcleodganj, we decided to go for it. And after our meal in Gayki, we fell in love with food all over again. Who knew spinach could be so delicious? We highly recommend this place!! Amazing food and amazing service, with the best prices!! A must visit!

“Amazing Food”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

Though this joint is very small its the best food we had during our stay in Mcleod. The owner adds a personal touch to meal by giving food suggestions and good titbits about the area. The spinach cheese fried momos and hot honey lemon ginger are a must try here.

“Local cuisine with Global experience”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

I travelled Mcleod during October 2012 and stayed there for 4 days. Although i managed to try out 5 different eat outs, I liked this one the best. The place is simple, small but buzzing with activity. The food is Tibetean and i did struggle my way to get veg food, but it was soooo good.

The owner was very friendly and so was the staff ( i met just 1 guy during my 4 visits).

What made the experience memorable was not the food but the people. It was small restaurant with people sharing tables as almost all were on long budget trips (mostly foreigners).

During each meal I interacted with strangers and it was good sharing the stories and getting to know different people and perspective. I would recommend this to be a must visit place if you are in Mcloed.

“Best fried momos in town”
Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

The fried momos are delicious, they're steamed first and then fried so they're not hard like some. Add sot and hot sauce and you're good to go! The momo soups are also good! The place is always buzzing with people, and you're bound to meet interesting and great people.
