“Management brings down quality of restaurant”
Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

Nestled off the beach behind the reception of the Oasis Surf Camp, the restaurant has seperate management, therefore one cannot pay for total bill, but pays each seperately.
The most disagreeable experience is one person on staff that was not at all helpful or nice. We needed ice as someone in our group was injured, she would not give us any. If we showed up at restaurant too early, she would inform us it is not open, but for breakfast on time... this is Panama, we open when we want.
Now that I got that off my chest, the waiter is great, funny, entertaining and always a smile on his face...
Food exceptional, if they have what you order. Unfortunately service is one person at a time, so first to eat has long finished their meal when last served received their food... but then again we were a group of six... Once the first meal was experienced it was more of a game, who would eat first and who eat last...
Overall a pleasant experience,

“Terrible Service.”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

I won´t lie...the food was ok, but I couldnt believe how bad was the service. First, when we got there we sat down in a table for 5 people as the rest of the tables werent available, the owner (or at least she looked like the owner) told us to move from that table to another one with unknown people...She didnt even try to guide us to get a table...Then we found another table and we wait for the service like 10 minutes. Then the waitress was very dry and she was kind of slow. No smiles, very basic and no idea about what costumer service is. Then we asked for the bill and she took around 15 minutes (because we had to look at her again)...But I dont blame her because if the owner (or the administrator) was like that...what can we expect of the staff?

“Every meal exceptional”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We tried other restaurants, and just came back to eat at the hotel. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. The portions are large, so you can even split a dinner. The grilled fish/salad/patacones dish was the best fish my friend and I had ever eaten- and we've worked in NYC restaurants. The pasta is rich but the sauces are flavorful and lip smacking. Often when places advertise being a 'Italian/Panamanian fusion,' they just serve arroz con pollo and pasta with red sauce. But Oasis truly marries the two with local seafood and mixed spices.

“Consistently good food”
Reviewed January 26, 2013 via mobile

Good food from breakfast through to dinner. Fish is always a good option. Nice staff and surroundings. Speed of service is above average for the area. One to check out. Great location on the beach
