Really nice experience. Mitchel from Kaiteriteri Kayak was a great host and guide. Full of local knowledge an amazing South Island hospitality. We even get to share some fresh brew coffee and cookies during our brake. This is a fully recommended experience to get to enjoy an incredibly beautiful place full of energy, wildlife and pristine waters.

Thanks guys, you rock!

My wife and I chose this last minute as we had a day in Russel, and wanted to get to the National Park. The kayak tour sounded perfect, especially as it was due to rain. “If we’re gonna be wet, might as well be in a kayak.”
We managed to find a shuttle pick up spot right outside our Air BnB which was great, as I was expecting to have to drive.
After a quick intro by Dan (who was superb throughout), we were on the boat to our drop off beach.
This was our first time kayaking, and Dan was very patient with us, and explained everything without being overbearing. His local knowledge was great, and took pictures of us with the seals which he then Air Drop’d to us later.
After we saw the baby seals up close, the weather turned worse and we just about made it back to shore. Again, Dan kept us calm and talked us through, checking if we were all ok. It was exhilarating to surf a wave on a tandem kayak!
We found a DOC hut on a beach for lunch, and tried to dry off as best as possible. The lunch sandwich was excellent, as were the cookies!
We declined the option of going back out as we’d over-faced ourselves a little in the morning, and the boat came to pick us up, and we completed the rest of the tour on that, ready to be shuttled back in the evening.
The gear we used was in excellent condition and we were offered lots of spare clothes to keep warm and dry.
Very challenging and enjoyable day!

We had a fantastic experience kayaking to Split Apple Rock and exploring Anchorage Bay by foot in the afternoon. Our guide Kim was amazing! She was knowledgeable, fun and just generally a lovely person to spend the morning with. She went out of her way to make our tour special and we were even lucky enough to spot some seals on the kayaking portion which is not super common (these are normally seen at Adele Island from the Sea Shuttle on this tour). After spending a bit of time back in Kaiteriteri for lunch after the kayaking portion we boarded the Sea Shuttle (same company just the water taxi side) and spent approx. 40 minutes cruising to Anchorage. We went via Split Apple Rock again which was great for a different perspective and more photos, before seeing the seal colony at Adele Island. Anchorage is a beautiful spot with many short walking trails to choose from. We walked the Pitt Head Loop Track which was the perfect length (approx. 1 hour 10 mins) and had it all from amazing views, beautiful secluded beaches and lush NZ bush. A huge thank you to Kim and the team at Kaiteriteri Kayaks and Sea Shuttle for a great day! P.S. do not let the chilly winter months put you off, there is plenty of warm kayaking equipment (you will look like a blue smurf in your photos lol) and amazingly still and calm days on the water, I highly recommend this company.

We had a wonderful day kayaking on the abel tasman coast with a perfect guide! She gave us so many infos of this wonderful national park and everything that the DOC do to keep this area pure for the animals! We had the chance to have baby seals going on our kayak and play with them. It was one of my best day so far in new zealand! The lunch was delicious, everything was perfect ❤

This was an awesome day. Well organized and they took care of our food requirements. We loved walking through Abel Tasman then kayaking while listening to history. Recommended
