A pleasant surprise. We were welcomed by LIz and Alan and made to feel very welcomed. The rooms were extremely large and warm. We were given the run of the property. With cable tv we were able to keep in touch with the english speaking world.
Breakfast was lovely.

My husband an me stayed for five nights early June.
Liz and Alan were excellent hosts and we felt very welcome right from the beginning. Room was spacious and clean.
Breakfast was very luxurious with plenty.of options and all very fresh. Eventhough we it was only the two of us, breakfast was so enormous, four people could have enjoyed it too.

The villages is very small but centrally located to all popular touristic places. We visited many D-day spots at the coast and enjoyed the village of St Malo in Bretany too.

I was pregent during our visit and wanted to shop for all kinds of baby stuff. Liz was very helpfull and gave us some shopping hints. Alan accompanied us watching the World Cup Soccer.

All in total a very succesfull B&B hide out with very warm and sympathic hosts. We will definitely come back one day to show are lovely baby girl.

What a brilliant B&B! Together with my wife and 3 young children we stayed with Liz and Alan in early Sept 2008 for 3 nights.

Right from the start we knew that it was going to be a memorable stay. Liz and Alan were the perfect hosts. They made us all feel so very welcome.

The kids loved the animals, especially the ponies. My son even beat Alan in getting up in the morning to let them into their paddock!!

Liz's cooking is brilliant, and breakfasts were a great way to start our sight-seeing day.

The B&B is newly rennovated, with a lot of thought being put into the way it is set out. The communal loungeroom is very comfortable, and the kitchen was made available to us as we liked.

Overall we had a brillaint stay. Liz and alan were the perfect hosts and we can very much recommend this wonderful B&B, especially if you're travelling with young children.

The warm welcome was just the start of a very pleasant few days in Liz and Alan’s home. We have two young boys and both were well looked after having a guided tour of the animals. The bedroom was large and provided plenty of space for them to move around and once the boys had gone to bed we were able relax in the comfortable lounge. One evening Liz provided a meal for us which was delicious and there was plenty to eat. We would definitely go back if where planned to stay in the area again.

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and we found the rooms to be very comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfasts were great and Liz & Alan were both very obliging and helpful (Liz even provided mint tea for my father after he commented that he liked it!)

What a fantastic welcome - Liz put the kettle on staight away, and made us feel relaxed and at home. The accommodation was very spacious and clean. In addition to the family bedroom suite, we were given access to a large guests' living room and the kitchen/breakfast room.

The internal renovations that have been done to the building are of a very high standard. Nothing has been done "on the cheap".

If you are interested in star gazing, this is definitely the place - there is no light pollution or noise pollution here.

I cannot speak highly enough of Liz's breakfast - fresh bread, croissants, pain au chocolate, pastries, hams, cheeses, cereals, juices, tea and coffee the list goes on...

We will be making a return visit I am sure!

The property is immaculate inside and is an ideal arrangement. There is a large kitchen and lounge for guests staying at La Beauficerie and the rooms upstairs are large and comfortable. The 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children) stayed in a 'family room' which was very spacious with modern en-suite facilities and a separate room within with bunkbeds for the kids. It was more like a suite than a room and very clean and comfortable.
The English owners, Liz and Alan, were perfect hosts - very friendly and helpful - and live in a completely separate attached cottage.
The breakfast was a feast of freshly baked croissants and pastries, cereals, cheeses and ham, all topped off with a fresh boiled egg from their own chickens and ducks. If you have not tried a freshly laid duck egg, you really must!
Also, we were allowed to use the kitchen to cook an evening meal, which is a fantastic bonus if you have kids: especially if they are fussy eaters!
All-in-all a fantastic place and great value for money and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone.
So much more than a 'B&B'!
