“a solid old fashioned restaurant on the hills”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2012

Diana has been there for ever. Winter and summer (in this case, of course, al fresco) you know you can enjoy a very good meal, with a very professional service, at very reasonable prices. The choice is vast, both in the meat (central european recipes predominate) and the fish (Adriatic) department. And, if you like it, the choice of spirits is incredibly large (try the rhums...).

“buonissimo, accogliente -- friendly and delicious!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2012

ENGLISH: We had a delicious meal here. The tram from Trieste stops right in front of the restaurant. The service was friendly, and the food local, authentic, and good, at a fair price. Highly recommended!

“best of all in our 1st Italy trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2011

My google map print allowed me to lead our family up the national bl from the tram final stop to the place. It had only Italian local crowds and the menu we couldn't read. The waiter with a very handsome version of #2 guy in the "3 stooges" face feature served us wonderfully, though he could only say beef, chicken, sea bass, pasta, which were all we needed to understand. The fish was very good size and he skinned and deboned with just a spoon and a fork right in front of us and it tasted delicious. With beef antipasti, 3 meals, 2 desserts, and a 12 euro bottle of wine came out to be much less than 60 euro and we enjoyed the food and the time. We agreed this was better than any we had in Milan,Florence, siena, bologna, padova, and venice.
