We visited this pub on a family holiday in the Highlands, after reading reviews we thought it I would be a nice venue for an evening family meal. What we found was a very confused pub. Food was poor, atmosphere was non existent and staff were not friendly. Overpriced and under average food. Will never visit again.

At a loose end on our last night in the area, we got a tip from the lodge owner where we were stay that the Inn at Ardgour was a tidy little place to eat.

A 4 minute ferry crossing from Corran and you literally fall in the establishment. You'll find a quaint little bar restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff. Dogs are welcome also.

The food was absolutely cracking!
Home made stake pie and the Fish and Chips were bloody marvelous. Healthy portions and all locally sourced produce.

If you are nearby hope on that wee ferry and check them out. I'll definitely be back.
Keep an eye on the ferry times. Last one leaving Ardgour is 21:20. Cars are £8.50 and foot passengers are free.

So Ardgour is the Inn and vice versa. The pub is offering good pub meals. Value for money. Outside seating is possible overlooking the ferry. Sleeping is also possible. We stayed in The Otter room. I think all rooms are at the roadside. No worries, there's little traffic and after 10pm it is quiet, very quiet. From 6am-10pm you can hear the ferry sirenes every now and then. It is not loud but it happens.

We arrived while the proprietors were short-staffed, so they were a bit flustered as we got settled. Rooms are clean, though definitely a bit dated. They could use a little TLC to freshen the appearance a bit. That said, we really enjoyed our stay. We used their laundry service, which was quick and cheap. The bar was good for a drink, with a decent scotch selection. One annoyance was the 6am wake-up with the siren from the ferry landing right across the street. Fortunately, we were planning a very early departure, but it may not be well-received by those wanting a late wake-up. Benefit for us was we literally timed our departure by watching the ferry from our window.

Room Tip: If you don't want a ground floor room be sure to mention that when booking. A few rooms located on the 2nd floor.

We stayed one night here driving down from Inverness. The local ferry takes you across the water.
The Inn is a warm friendly place with a nice bar/restaurant.
Our room was very spacious overlooking the loch with a lovely hot shower and shower gel provided.
Towels were a bit small but nice and thick.
Tea/Coffee and biscuits in the room.
We had a lovely three course meal of very high quality at a reasonable price, and after walking down to the lighthouse to get some sunset photos we had an enjoyable evening playing darts in the bar.
There is a lovely lounge with books and games ideal for a family staying.
Breakfast was excellent with all the usual fruit juices cereals etc plus a cooked selection, I had smoked haddock and poached egg that was delicious.
Thoroughly recommend this place.
