Description: Located on sunny main street Blairmore, this popular little cafe was established in 2003. Relaxed and kid-friendly, we're a great choice to eat in, with our comfortable atmosphere, but there are always options for the grab and go crowd. Get off the highway and find us on main street...You deserve better than gas station coffee!

Funky decor and an extensive menu of freshly made items. We were working in the area for a few days and it was worth it. The food is tasty and it is nice to encourage a local business over the regular Timmy chain. They open at 7am.

Thank you for choosing us! It's hard competing with a chain, when people know exactly what they're going to get when they go there. We appreciate people taking a 'risk' on us; they are always happy they did! Thanks again for your kind comments & we hope you'll stop in again some day!

Early one snowy morning in September we had left our hotel in Coleman and were looking for someplace for breakfast. We turned off of the Crowsnest Highway into the little town of Blairmore and stopped at the only place in town that we saw open - The Stone's Throw Cafe. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they offered a full breakfast and were not just a coffee shop. Waffles with seasonal fruit were great and I really loved they eclectic decor of the restaurant - a screen made up of six old doors, variously painted tables and other imaginative furnishings.

We're so glad you stopped off the highway and found us! That's our biggest challenge. Thank you for your comments! I think people never look at an 'old door' the same again after seeing ours! We hope you can stop again sometime.

We stopped for a quick bite to eat but with the fantastic atmosphere, we stayed a little longer. Very good chai latte - perfectly spiced. Also enjoyed the turkey BLT wrap and grilled ham and cheese. We'll definitely stop again the next time we come through this area.

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to review. We're happy to hear you enjoy the atmosphere. It's a fun mish mash of oddball cutlery, plates, tables and chairs...thankfully nothing matches, or I'd be heartbroken when we dropped a dish! Thanks again!

Thank you for your comments! Getting people off the highway is our biggest challenge...maybe you have convinced a few more to 'find us' on main street! Many thanks for taking the time to review us after your recent stop & we hope to see you again. :-)
