What a lovely hotel! The view from our balcony was incredible! The room was so clean and comfortable. No air-conditioning, but cool breezes at night. The food was excellent. They even pack you a lunch for early departures! You will want to walk around the lake and take in the lovely views. Don't hesitate to stay here!

A wonderful hotel! Our balcony faced the lake and alps for the most gorgeous view. My family truly enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend a visit. The breakfast was delicious and because we left early to catch a train they packed us all a little picnic to take with us on our journey!

We had a wonderful week and have recommended this hotel. It is a quiet hotel in a lovely village just outside Interlaken. While most guests didn't have children, the several families there were welcomed and catered for perfectly. There's a playground, games room with board games, xbox and toys and a play room with toys for younger children. My children (age 10, 7 and 5) loved swimming in the lake outside the hotel (bring wetsuits!) and the lido round the corner where they have trampolines moored in the lake. The children enjoyed picking parts of the adult menu at dinner which they could combine in any way with the option of comforting kids menu options such as pasta, fish and chips and ice cream. When they'd finished they could let off steam in the playground as we watched over coffee. Our room was just right for 5 and they have several rooms to accomodate families if you book direct as we did or request them. It was at the back of the hotel but had a side lake view and we could sit in the lounge (which has wi-fi) to enjoy the beautiful lake view. Most of the guests we spoke to were returning, often year after year and we hope we will too!

We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday at the Seehotel in Bonigen. Members of three generations, from age 5 to 67, all had a memorable stay at this excellent hotel.

The Hohermuth family efficiently run an extremely friendly and welcoming hotel. There was always at least one member of the family around and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel staff were also friendly and helpful and gave the impression of a team working happily together.

We took the half board option and the food throughout our stay was varied, interesting, well presented and good value. Breakfasts were also good with plenty of choice.

Our room had a balcony with beautiful lake view and was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our daughter and family had a suite of two rooms, one with a queen size bed and another with 3 single beds for the children, an excellent arrangement.

We enjoyed ice creams on the hotel terrace overlooking the lake, swimming in the lake and in the nearby lido, canoes on the lake and walks around the village and by the lake.
For trips out, the half-hourly bus to Interlaken (free with guest card) takes just 7 minutes to reach Interlaken Ost station with connections to mountain railways, etc. This makes a stay at the Seehotel as convenient as staying in Interlaken, but far more pleasant and relaxing.

The Seehotel is ideal for a wide range of visitors, not just families.

We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and hope to return soon.

The staff were friendly, they were willing to accomomdate any special needs and do what ever they could to make to make our stay pleasurable ,
We had a family room, it was large with heaps of room plus a balcony overlooking lake Brienz. They cater for children with a playroom on the second floor and and outdoor play area with swings and slide and cubbyhouse.
The restaurant serves lovely fresh food, we booked half board, the continental breakfast was very satisfying and got our days off to a good start.and the evening meal was fantastic with four coarses and a different menu every day of our week long stay.
The location is beautiful, on the banks of lake Brienz with mountains all around, Bonigen is lovely and peaceful but is only a short bus ride from Interlaken and the bus stops outside the hotel.

We visited See Hotel at recommendation of a friend. What a beautiful hotel located between 2 mountain ranges and lake side. So relaxing; could have spend all day on the balcony. The food in the restaurant was very good and the outdoor terrace was the perfect place to enjoy dinner, the complimentary breakfast was also great. Best of all was the hospitality of the staff, especially Sondra. They all went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed in the hotel la terrasse and was very disappointed with the room. We were overlooking a caravan site that allowed us no priviacy when we went out to the balcony. Campers could see right into our room. We were told we had a mountain view but could only see the mountains when we got past the sight of the caravans. The food was nice although there could have been more selection for breakfast. We were charged 3 francs every night for a litre of 'tap' water. No air conditioning which would have helped greatly as the weather was very humid. If planning to stay in this hotel would recommend upgrading to a lake view room. Did not get the free swim at the local swimming pool that came with our package holiday.
