Friendly staff and excellent food in a great atmosphere! They also have a shop of local produce. A must-stop!

“The quality you don't expect...”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

Luigi and Antonella (by the time your evening is over you too will know their names) used to have a top quality delicatessen with a selections of some of the best tuscan cheeses, cured meats, delicacies and wines. What you don't expect, in such a small town is to find the best selection of champagnes south of Florence and north of Rome, Patanegra ham, the best Scottish salmon, just to mention a few...
2 years ago their home town was completely submerged by a devastating flood, their shop included.
How did they managed to keep their smile and transform that disaster in a place twice as beautiful, where not only you can take away but also sit down in a beautiful surrounding, and enjoy some of the typical tuscan soups or Italian dishes as well as the delicacies from their counter? I suggest you find out for yourself. I tried a memorable "Acquacotta", my girlfriend a sublime Amatricana, I know for I ate most of it, next time I will start from letter "B".
Albinia is on the via Aurelia, the main road that takes you from Rome to South of France. It's in the heart of Maremma, minutes away from some of the most incredible naturalistic oasis in Italy. If you happen to be there during the day, don't miss to have a look around. If you happen to pass by in the evening on your way to the natural therms of Saturnia (25 miles away) as I did, a stop at Agrietruria, it will be the icing on your cake.
