“Recommended for a short stay”

The hotel is located in a beautiful Karlsruhe suburb called Stupferich. It is a clean hotel having the low price, the free parking and the excellent full breakfast as its strong points. Things that I would prefer to be better? Staff talking a bit English, better Wi-Fi signal (especially in my room the Wi-Fi was bad as I had to use the free-hotspot access point and put my laptop near the door), and smaller pillows instead of those huge ones that were completely unnecessary.

Besides, it is quite easy to find but it is highly recommended to rent a car. It will make your life much easier as the hotel is a 5 minute ride from the main motorway and 20 minute total car ride from the center of the city. If you prefer otherwise, you should change a couple of trains and buses in order to be at the hotel after almost an hour.

Room Tip: My room was No.2 which was a normal single room with a small window overlooking the roof and the mai...

The hotel is located in a rather small village, about 15 Kilometers from Karlsruhe city center. It consists of a main building hosting most rooms, the reception, restaurant and a butcher shop as well as several smaller buildings with more rooms. The atmosphere is friendly but direct. It is not a posh location but a village hotel and also the food is really tasty but a bit simple and with quite much focus on meat and beer. My room was spacious and clean, however not perfect clean - I found some hair in the shower for example. The only other problem I had was that in my room there was pretty heavy traffic noise as the hotel is directly next to the main street and the windows are not noise insulated well. On the pro side, parking as well as internet is free.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the back side of the hotel away from the street

A welcoming, clean & efficiently run hotel. Free wi-fi, on-site restaurant serving good food - we had an evening meal, the breakfast was also excellent. Spacious rooms. We would definitely book this hotel again if we were travelling in the region.

Ideal place to stay when travelling. Lovely room and parking is free. Not far from the motorway. Did not eat in the restaurant, as we ate in Golden Lamb (just down the road) Breakfast was good. The room was very comfortable and clean. Not a lot of contact with the staff - which is a shame as us Brits just love to chat . Will stay there again

Room Tip: A bit "spread out" April stayed on one side of the road - October the other side. Good pla...

Despite its billing, this hotel is not in Karlsruhe per se but the small town of Stupferich which is 20 minutes by bus from the main station. We had a spacious room for 4 separate from the main hotel. The restaurant is good value and well presented with a mixture of typical and local dishes. The beer is kept well and there is a reasonable choice. Other local restaurants were closed for annual holidays but the menu is deep enough for this not to be a problem.

The location is ideal for travellers - in a pleasant village ~ 1 km from the motorway but quiet enough for an excellent night rest!
The room was clean, spacious and recently refurbished, free parking and Wi-FI, the breakfast - perfect for such price (fresh fruit juice, omelet, meatballs, fruits, bread, meats, marmelade, nutella, etc.)!
The rooms are not located in one house, but we found in our room umbrella for rainy weather.
Good for late arrivals - you should inform the hotel before and they leave the room key with your name in a special box.

We stayed here for 2 nights recently and found it to be basic but fine for the price. Our inability to speak German was a problem and the lady serving drinks and food in the beer garden was not amused!! The chap in charge (Hubert?) was civil and quite helpful but I wouldn't say friendly. Had we been able to speak the language we might have been able to say that we were there for our brothers funeral, but we missed the human touch that conversation (might) have brought. Our fault for not speaking the language, I know, but I can't say it was friendly. Breakfast was not as good as some have been saying, congealed ,cooked food that had obviously been sat there for sometime. But the rooms were clean and 2 of the 3 were spacious (1 was tiny). Great spot, worth walking around and exploring the beautiful cemetery.

Room Tip: Road was very noisy and the attic type rooms very warm, so we needed to have the windows open
