“A gorgeous place”
Reviewed September 22, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We stayed at casa della mora in September and we absolutely loved it. The house is gorgeous and has everything you can think of to make your holiday perfect. It's in a great position as it is in the middle of olive trees therefore very quiet but also close by cutrofiano, a placid and pretty non tourist village where to shop. There was also a dance festival on in the village while we were there which gave us the occasion to experience some local culture. Bill and Tracey are lovely and always helpful, and the house is also surrounded by fruit trees with delicious figs, plums and grapes. Location is perfect to explore salento and we visited a different beach every day although we also loved just staying in, chilling by the pool and barbecue fresh fish and meat from the local market. It's the first place we've been where we promised ourselves to be back!

“Peaceful idyllic retreat in the heart of the Salento”
Reviewed June 17, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Well appointed house with large private garden, no neighbours really except our hosts Bill and Tracey about 100m away. Ideally located to for beaches and visits to small Italian villages for sightseeing/dinner/provisions. Very comfortable accommodation with plenty of room for 4 adults+. So quiet, very easy to sleep late into the morning! Recommended if you want to feel away from all the hustle/bustle but want some of Italy's hidden gems just a short drive away

“Absolute gem of a property run by the nicest people!”
Reviewed November 1, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed here in October 2015 and found the property perfect. It's a great house with lovely grounds and a great pool. The location is great, remote enough to enjoy peace and quiet but still near enough to do great day trips to Gallipoli, Otranto, Lecce etc. Bill (the owner) is an absolute gent who helped us out with everything we needed (incl. getting a tractor to pull our car out of a ditch) it's a great place for kids and again they had everything down to kids cutlery and they loved the pool. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

“Wonderful place to stay in the olive groves of the Salento”
Reviewed September 5, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Excellent villa with great covered outdoor eating and lounging space. Very efficient ceiling fans in hot weather if you don't want to use the airco. WiFi connection pretty good. Fresh figs in the garden. Peaceful rural location but easy short drive to both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts.
The local town Cutrofiano is a few minutes drive away and there is a small but very good supermarket there. We liked Peppino's bar in Cutrofiano. Great for morning coffee.
Bill, the owner, is so helpful.
A perfect place to stay.

“Blissful”
Reviewed September 3, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The villa was wonderful. The photographs really do not do this lovely home justice. It was like arriving in heaven. The villa has been furnished beautifully with everything you could possibly need (even UK plug sockets!). Staying when it was so hot we really found the dozens of children's films useful, as my 3 year old could sit inside during the hottest part of the day and happily watch films. The setting is really beautiful, with fruit trees surrounding and the pool was ideal for us.
Bill was lovely and very helpful.
This really is a 'get away from it' stay, which was just what we wanted. In fact apart from the supermarket and a trip to Lecce we hardly moved from the villa for the whole week. I could not recommend this enough, a wonderful place to stay.
Sat nav is needed in Italy in our opinion. Thank you.
