I travelled from Wales to watch West Brom play at the Hawthorns and could not have got a better location coupled with value for money. Exit building, 1 minute walk and into the fine White Rose for even finer trad ale. Exit building 1 minute walk to tram for the Hawthorns. Do the reverse trip adding curry house between pub and hotel and i do believe you have a pretty damn good black country night out. The staff were friendly and the room was adequate. I do believe i may repeat in the near future.

My first time visit to the Robin 2 was made perfect thanks to having accommodation on site. The room was compact, but had all that was required for a one night stay. The breakfast was of good quality and everyone at the venue was friendly and helpfull.
The room was a bit noisy but hey, it's a concert venue and after a couple of pints I had no trouble in getting off to sleep. An added bonus on my visit was meeting members of the band (Hawklords) in the morning.
I have already booked a return trip and look forward to many more in the coming months.

not a bad place to stay at all ... cheap and cheerful...the rooms are clean but very small... the one i was in was unbearably hot ...even with the window open there was no air... lots of road noise even with the 'secondary double glazing' in place also people arriving and leaving the venue ..my room was on the front and every time the bar door closed below there was a tremendous thud. ....breakfast was none existant...... i went down but was told by the cleaner that there was no one around...... so it is worth finding out [ if you have booked on line] the night before whether or not you will be having breakfast .... my stay was for 2 nights but felt it was too long as with the road noise i had little sleep ... however...would use this place again for a one night stopover only .......

Room Tip: probably at the back..... not as much road noise

Great place to stay for gigs at The Robin 2. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good and freshly cooked. The woman cooking it was a lovely warm person. The room I was in was adequate, not very large but I was only sleeping there after a great night next door at the club. My only complaint is that the room was very warm and I couldnt have the window open because of the street noise. Only a minor gripe though.

As a regular visitor for concerts at The Robin 2, I have previously had to arrange accommodation as close to the venue as possible, on occasions factoring in taxi journeys to and from the club.
This is no longer necessary, as The Robin 2 now happily provides clean and tidy B&B accommodation above the venue itself.
I have even bumped into bands staying there!
Recommended to seasoned gig-goers such as myself who travel far and wide to concerts and enjoy a pint and don't want the unnecessary hassle of traveling across an unfamiliar town after shows!

Room Tip: I prefer to sleep at the back, although road noise is minimal outside of rush hour and the windows a...

Would one stay in Bilston if not going to a gig? Probably not. But if you are, the Robin 2 is a small, clean hotel right next to the hall. That has its downside, in that the door to the hall (right outside our room) didn't have a working door closer so there was a constant 'thud' before and - for a little while - after the gig. But the room itself was comfortable if small, the breakfast was reasonable (apart from sub-standard low meat content sausages) and it was just SO convenient!

Room Tip: It might be best to avoid the room that we had, right by the door, if one wants to relax a bit immed...

The venue is exellent and having a hotel attached sounded great. And how great! The staff are so friendly & welcoming. The rooms may be a little small but perfectly clean and tidy with excellent facilities, and all in a fab building. The back door of the hotel is two steps from the front door of the venue so no walking at all. The night we were there was a fairly quiet gig but it's a good sized venue and the facilities in there are great too. The venue is also where breakfast is served in a separate breakfast room. All cooked while you while you wait and admire the posters signed by artists who have played there. Plenty of it and the lovely lady cooking it was ready with a veggie sausage version of a full English breakfast when I told her I didn't eat meat. All in all a fantastic night out and a very pleasant night's stay. We'll be checking the events The Robin2 have lined up in future just to find an excuse to go back there.
