We stayed here for 3 nights and extended for an extra night. The staff a very friendly and so helpful if you need anything. We arrived after dark and we were able to eat a very nice meal which was great. We were able to hire a scooter through SGP and were able to explore the islands very easily.

We booked one of the cheaper rooms which was fine for the 4 nights we were here. There was a bed, a mosquito net and a bedside table. That is it. The shower/toilet was shared and was fine. We were backpacking so it was good value.

SGP is right on a river where you can do paddle boarding from somewhere nearby.
There is a tiny town nearby where you can get dry snacks and water. There is a pizza place there too but it was closed when we tried to go there.

The chocolate hills, tarsiers and man-made forest are all over an hour away but the roads are all safe to use.

We would recommend it here

We spent 2 nights at this hotel.
On the positive side: the hotel is located on the riverside. It has a quaint and rustic charm with a lot of greenery, verandas and river view. Cool to sit by the river and listen to the nightlife of crickets and frogs The pool was cool and soothing after a hot day. Friendly manager. The food was good, and cheap.

But, there was a lot to wish for. The room was very small (2x3 meters) with 2 very small windows. It was dirty. (Whoever lost their nail clipper under the bed - it is still there!). The mattress was banana shaped, with no support in the middle. The table in the dining area was grimy with dirt. We played cards; and the cards were sticky with fat afterwards. The pool water was a milky white soup... it needs to be changed.
There was a problem with the electricity in Bohol when we were there. The generator was insufficient for powering the fans, and it was turned off between 11pm and 7am. It became intollerably hot during the night.

We stayed here for three nights and it was perfect, such a quaint local feel and such a great location. The owner helped us organized a taxi driver who took us to see everything in the area including the zip line adventure parks, tarsiers, ATVing in the chocolate hills and the river boat cruise. Only complaint, is that the shower is typical Filipino shower, where it is hard to get hot water or good pressure at times. #travelingwright on Youtube

Although a bit of a walk from the downtown area, it is fairly close to the houseboat tour area. The facilities are clean and neat with a nice pool with fairly nice water in it. Not crystal but OK. Attractive river frontage with some mosquitoes around dusk for a couple of hours. The rooms are screened well and although mostly small are pretty well sorted and the a/c and shower works well.
Meals are pretty good and well priced. Beer and drinks are usually cold. Owner and staff are mostly friendly and accomodating. Wifi only near reception area.

Room Tip: Near the reception area will get wifi in room (just). Double beds in small rooms are a bit small.
