This small, family-run restaurant has a limited menu, but everything is delicious. You basically have the option of roast chicken, ribs, or a combo. I have been twice, and both times the food was very tasty, and seems to taste even better because of the cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is set in a rustic stone building with an open front fireplace where they roast the goods. The prices are reasonable for Belgium, coming in around 12-18 euros per person for more than enough to fill you up. I wouldn't hesitate to bring any visitors here, and definitely recommend it if you are able to get out there.

This is a charming neighborhood restaurant with good atmosphere, especially the open fire with ribs cooking over it. When we arrived, we were told that they were all out of chicken, which wasn't a problem as we were there for ribs. For just €12, we had a plate with a substantial amount of ribs, a baked potato and a nice, fresh salad. The ribs had a nice seasoning salt on them for flavor. There were, however, no sauces available. I asked for sauce, but seems they don't offer it.
Before we finished, we saw the restaurant turning away two parties saying that they were now also out of ribs. This was on Father's Day ! I'm afraid that Mr. Koekoek may have spent his Saturday watching the World Cup rather than shopping for provisions for the restaurant.
Even still any restaurant can have an off night. I would say that this is a perfectly pleasant place to stop in for perfectly delicious, smokey ribs.

This is a great little Flemish run restaurant in Erps Kwerps. The building is old and the ribs and chicken are cooked over a roaring hearth. The menu is very limited, with rotisserie chicken and ribs being the mainstay of the menu. The various home made sauces are delicious. The servings are large and filling. Deserts are also very good.

I have found it rare in Belgium, particularly in the area of Brussels, to find a restaurant with both tasty food and excellent service at bargain prices. This place is great all year round and in the summer they have an enclosed patio that accommodates large parties.

Operating hours are limited so call in advance to confirm hours and to get a reservation. If you are staying in Brussels then this is a "must try" dining experience.
