We had lunch here on 03/02/2012, en route to see the Bayernwald German trench system a few kilometers away. We had the special menu each. This consisted of some tasty vegetable soup, obviously home made, and, for our main course, some breaded pollack with cabbage and mashed potato, served with a creamy sauce. Our food was good and filling, and the service was friendly as well. The estaminet has lots of old Flemish children's games and memorabilia. A very pleasant place for lunch, and cheap, too. The specials were €9 per person for two courses, and the beers were €2.50 each. A good choice, thanks to Tim Webb's Good Beer Guide to Belgium. Kemmel itself has a pretty village green.
