The San Marco Restaurant at Perl is well worth a visit. My wife and I were alerted to the fact that a person who had worked in Saarburg whom we had known for a number of years had become the owner of this Restaurant at Perl which is a small Village near the French/Luxembourg/Geman Border. In fact it takes no more than about half an hour''s driving time from Saarburg. The drive from Saarburg on a sunny day is worth the experience to see nature at its best. There are a few picturesque villages one drives through on the way. The Restaurant we have been told is situated in the oldest building of the Village and used to be a Medieval Monastry. The previous owner ran the Restaurant as a Pizza Restaurant but the present owner has already extended the Menu to include familiar meat dishes and salads. The quantity of food served on the plate is liberal. All meals are freshly prepared.Hygiene is of a high standard and my wife and I have no hesitation in recommending this Restaurant and wish the new owner every success in his new venture.By using it the Public will ensure this to be the case. When we visited the Restaurant it had only been under new ownership for 3 Weeks and already there were several Groups of Guests happily enjoying their meals. My wife and I will certainly look forward to eating there on more than one occasion next year when we take our Annual Holiday to Saarburg as we have done for the past 31 years.
