When arriving we where a little bit scared by the outside. However, as soon as you get inside the place improves. Rooms are modern and in good condition. The breakfast was ok, but the omelett was burnt for both of us who ordered it. Location is not great, but if you have a car it is realtively easy to get to restaurants.

We spent a night here - a rather grim little place, but quite adequate I guess - considering it is very much a budget hotel. Very close to the centre of Sainte Foy les Lyon, which is a charming village and a stone's throw from Lyon. There is a regular bus to Lyon-Perrache - the number 19, so getting into the city is a doddle. We picked up a couple of pain au chocolat in the village for our breakfast - there are coffee making facilities in the room. Wifi is good and strong. The one fairly major downside for us was that the rooms are very poorly insulated for sound - we could hear our neighbours talking on both sides of us, which always rather lowers the tone of the establishment. The bed was on the hard side.

Stayed here because we were checking our schools in Lyon in preparation for relocating. This hotel is right behind The International School of Lyon so perfectly located for our visit. Facilities were good and bed were comfortable. Friendly staff and ate good simple breakfast in the garden the following morning.

The thing that makes this place special is the restaurant situated alongside the hotel. I had the duck and it was superb, probably one of the best duck dishes I have eaten and I order it a lot. Both my husband and I opted for dessert and they were also of a high standard and delicious. Will definitely try to return there now we live in the area.

Motel-type accommodation, good value at 52 Euros a night.
Clean, well decorated, coffee-maker in room.
In the hotel, the continentalbreakfast is an additional 10 Euros pp.
The one problem was that the free Wi-Fi was not working and was not fixed in 3 days.
We were in Ste Foy-les-Lyon to visit family there but the Kyriad is a good budget option for visiting the centre of Lyon. The car parking is free at the hotel.
We took the no. 19 bus from Ste Foy-les-Lyon to Perrache (Lyon railway station, about 15 mins) and there connected with the metro system on the same ticket - tickets last an hour.
