“If you love skiing - you'll love it here!”
Reviewed January 23, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Chalet Chamois - Our first time skiing in France and our second chalet experience, the last one in St Anton, Austria. We chose this region for the variety of skiing available, the second biggest ski area in France. Chalet Chamois is in the village of Les Coches, a 7 minute walk to the centre with a few bars and restaurants. We flew into Chambery airport and took advantage of the transport offered by the owners Duncan and Toorna (at a reasonable cost). Jack, our driver was duly waiting at the airport and 1 hour 40 minutes later we were at the chalet. It had everything we could have wished for and exactly as described.
Top floor- kitchen/ dining room. Excellent food provided by Lewys and Mandy-May (even our fussier eaters were catered for). Friendly, efficient, always helpful and nothing was too much trouble. White or red wine was provided with dinner at no extra cost. The front door here leads onto a lane with a car park. Jack, bless him, picked us up here each morning for the 2 minute drive down to the chair lift. It is possible to ski down to the lift via a short red piste at the side of the chalet, but you'd need to be more proficient than us!
Middle floor- lounge with an open log fire, TV which receives mot of the usual channels found at home, Wii games, DVDs, games and wi fi throughout the chalet. I should also mention the wi fi which works well. It's something that's increasingly important to us these days. We would congregate here before dinner. There was a good variety of drinks available to help ourselves to. They call it an 'honesty bar' and we simply jotted down what we had on the pad provided and paid for these at the end of our week. Not expensive - 1 beer - 1 euro. We'd then come back down here after dinner where cheese and biscuits were provided, really nice touch. Also on this floor are 2 of the 4 twin bedrooms, all with en suite. (Not all chalet accommodation have en suites for all bedrooms). A door leads out onto a balcony which overlooks the hot tub.
Lower floor - 2 more twin rooms, a boot room, toilet and boiler room (this is where our suitcases were stored for the week). Plenty of hooks for coats, helmets, gloves etc. The boot warmer was really good, especially in the mornings, sliding our feet into warm boots was lovely (Mandy-May would turn it on before breakfast). Skiing back was easier as you just follow a flat blue run and look for the 2 silver birch trees in front of the hot tub and then straight into the boot room.. We soon got the hang of it after the first day.
Our typical day skiing involved us skiing back to the chalet around 4 or 5pm, off loading our gear and making our way up to the dining room where, every day, a cake or cakes were waiting, freshly made to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee. Shortly after, bathers on, whip the lid off the hot tub and ... oh wow! water temperature almost 40' and by this time it's almost dark. We are completely surrounded by snow with a view down into the valley and mountains beyond with the lights of houses on the mountainside twinkling, absolute magic.
After our first night Duncan's wife Toorna came to ask if everything was okay and encouraged us to use the chalet like our own home.
We just wanted to mention that 2 of the bedrooms with their en suites are quite small but we had to bear in mind that all our ski gear was in the boot room and these are not hotel rooms.
From the initial enquiry Toorna was professional throughout, answering all e mails with efficiciency. We were made to feel comfortable and relaxed, our hosts were amazing, which made it a truly incredible chalet experience. Toorna also organised our ski rental equipment, which was delivered to the chalet and our lift passes at no extra cost. Transfer to the chalet and return was reliable and the cost reasonable.
Overall this holiday was 10 out of 10. We will hopefully return.

“Best ski holiday ever!!! Great chalet and hosts!”
Reviewed February 9, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This chalet is in Les Coches, part of the La Plagne ski region. Perfectly located for skiing in either Les Arcs or La Plagne as it sits in between the two. Easy drive in from Geneva (2hrs 40) or Chambery (1hr 40) and free parking available.
We were welcomed with Champagne by our wonderful, kind hosts Craig and Caoimhe. A truly lovely couple full of Irish charm and charisma. Every meal was beautifully presented and tasted amazing! Even for me.. a renowned fussy eater!!! I tried and loved everything served to me! The only trouble was trying to finish all three delicious courses!!!
Our chalet was kept beautifully clean and our rooms and beds were tidied every day. The Hot tub was a great experience too and watching the sun set over the mountain view was amazing!
I really cannot fault the experience... but part of me doesn't want to write this review in case the whole world discovers this fabulous place.. and it then gets booked up!!!!
Duncan at Alpine365 has created a gem of a business and has very high standards for the hosts he employs - and this truly does lend to a fabulous experience when you are there!
You will NOT be served any 'below- average' food by an inexperienced young chalet maid....

This was by far the best ski holiday we ever had!
The resort is pretty good too! ;-)

“Chalet Chamois with Alpine365 - A total skiing experience.”
Reviewed January 20, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Chalet Chamois Jan 2015. Throughout, from initial enquiry to drop off at Geneva, for us the whole Alpine365 experience has been first class. Duncan leads a team committed to providing a seamless, amazing, professional ski chalet experience. Pre arrival preparation and communication was attentive and realistic leaving us feeling valued and full of anticipation. The transfer from airport to chalet in the resort at Les Coches was both luxurious, efficient and very good value when shared amongst our group. On arrival, our welcome by the chalet hosts Craig and Caoimhe was both warm, friendly and genuine. Craig produced beautifully presented food, which tasted even better throughout the week. A testament to his professional ability and desire to do the best he can. Commendable. Caoimhe, a genuinely kind, polite warm hearted person who without fail was an attentive hostess. An amazing week of skiing with lovely, fresh snow, eventually. Sitting in the hot tub with snowflakes coming down whilst sipping our après-ski aperitif with Mont Blanc as a backdrop is of itself priceless. Rental Republic, the ski hire company, were professional and flexible catering to alterations throughout the week delivering to the chalet. The Evo2 ski instructors Duncan and his team work with are equally top class, knowledgeable and genuinely good fun. Thank you, both Duncan & Russell for the lifts and keeping an eye on us, your regular visits and conversations were informative and helpful. The whole Alpine365 team have been superb throughout. I am confident we will return and highly recommend Alpine365 to others looking for a fine dining ski in / out chalet experience.

“Amazing all around ski chalet experience”
Reviewed January 3, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

We searched for this place by trawling on the internet for catered chalets to accommodate a large family, and we were not disappointed. First and foremost, our ski chalet hosts, Craig and Caoimhe, were exceptional, and when we left we felt like we were leaving their home. Craig's cooking was a combination of gourmet and homestyle, and being in his kitchen felt like secretly being allowed into a Michelin star chef's office. They both always made us feel special, from helping us celebrate our son's 21st birthday to ringing in the new year. The skiing was outstanding, and we lucked out by arriving on the day of a massive blizzard, which kept the mountains covered for the week. The accommodations in the chalet are comfortable, even if not luxurious. The hot tub is right outside the boot room door, and gives a beautiful view of the mountains. There was always a fire going in the cozy sitting room, and we never really felt the need to walk down into town at night. All in all this was a great ski holiday experience, and we would highly recommend Chalet Chamois.

“Amazing chalet holiday”
Reviewed December 28, 2014 for a stay in December 2014

Initial enquiry dealt with professionally, subsequent emails prompt and contained all information required for lift passes, ski hire and lessons. Transfer pick up on time. Chalet hosts Craig and Caoimhe were brilliant, friendly, nothing too much trouble, food was amazing, and they joined in the fun of snow fight and sledging with the children. Due to snow conditions didn't get to ski in ski out until the last day but they put on lifts to the chair every morning and afternoon, Russell was great. Overall one of the best chalet holidays we have been on.

“Great chalet for ski holiday”
Reviewed March 25, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We've stayed in many catered chalets in the past, including Pisteside (also operated by Alpine365 and situated next door to Chamois in Les Coches) and it's one of the best. We were lucky as we had the biggest room (on the bottom floor with the bath) and an amazing chalet team this year - (chef for the 2013/14 season has a previous appearance on professional masterchef!). Chalet is brilliantly situated - really ski in/ski out and easily spacious enough for 8. Hot tub also has a magnificent view of Mont Blanc. Highly recommended.

“Exceeded my expectations”
Reviewed March 20, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

I have been on a number of skiing trips, each time staying in a catered chalet so I sort of thought I knew what to expect.
However Chalet Chamois tops them all. It is situated within metres of the piste so easy access at the beginning and end of each day. The village is a mere ten minute walk away. The chalet is very comfortable and warm with each of its four bedrooms being en-suite. But what topped it all were the two employees, Naimh the Chalet Host and Robbie the Chef. They were great fun. Naimh was delightful and kept the place clean and ticking over nicely. Robbie's cooking was second to none. It was like eating in a Michelin star restaurant every night. Superb.
On the last evening as we were all sitting in the hot tub sipping bubbly, watching the sun go down on Mont Blanc, we were wondering what we would say if we were asked by Duncan (who runs Alpine365) for any suggestions that would have made our stay better. We could honestly think of nothing. Well done Robbie, Niamh, Duncan and Russell. It was a week to remember.
