VERY french, not exactly relaxed dining, arriving in shorts and sandals i felt slightly under dressed (no i did have a shirt as well). It looked quite down market from outside but when you get in the staff are uniformed and the tables/cutlery etc immaculate.
A lunchtime menu at around 13e and carafes of wine at 5e make it great value but you can spend 10 times that if you want - a vast choice of menus and à la carte.
We enjoyed everything we were served and were not annoyed as we usually are by relaxed service - these guys know what they are doing.
Large car park 50yds away .
Our rule in France had been to always avoid hotels as they can never match a dedicated restaurant but this place has forced a rethink.
If in Bressuire we won't be looking elsewhere.
