Went here for 1 week early July 2013. We brought three kids aged 2,3 and 5. The kids pool area was good but access to the deep area was all too easy meaning you had to be super vigilant at all times . The slides were good for older kids . Night time entertainment was limited and any decent restaurants required a 20 min car trip. Beech was easily accessible but very stony.
All in all good for week but a little disappointed based on other reviews

We have been to Sol a Gogo 4 times now, 3 with Alfresco. Summer 2013 was the best yet, because of our reps, Jan and Ken. We are a family of 5 with three boys, 17, 14 and 12 (at the time), and arrived at the campsite after 8.30 PM, to our surprise the villa was immaculate Jan had made the beds for us and there were also refreshments, beer and soft drinks in the fridge. After a 4 hour drive from Caen this was a greatly welcomed. Jan and Ken were always on hand for any help, advise or just a friendly chat and I would like to thank them for a great holiday.

We are returning again this summer with Alfresco, but this time we have two villas booked, one for my wife and I, and one for the 3 teenagers, who all jumped at the chance to return again. The beach is superb, the facilities on site are excellent for a small park and the staff are friendly.

I stayed here for a week in a june with my partner. I was a little worried with choosing this campsite as we have no children and with this being a very child friendly campsite.
However how wrong was i? we decided to go with Hello France and have to say that the office and on site staff were great. We had a lovely mobile home right by the beach! On site faclities were second to none the pool, beach and bar area was clean and tidy and a special mention to the bar staff :-) where we spent alot of time! Word of warning sum cream is definately needed as my partner found out. Same again this year for def!

Really pleased we decided to book with Carisma for our holiday in Sol a Gogo in August 2013. Having previously stayed with a large operator, we knew the site was great, with a lovely pool and a perfect beach-side location. This time we booked with Carisma having checked out one of their empty homes on the last day of our previous holiday and suffered severe envy!. The standard of accommodation was excellent. The home was significantly newer, better maintained and much larger than our previous accommodation. It was also thoughtfully equipped and with a well thought out layout with plenty of storage space. I must also complement the staff. The booking team were friendly and helpful and responded to e mail queries quickly. The couriers on site were lovely. From the first moment, they made our 3 children very welcome and arranged activities that they all (6,9,12) found entertaining and fun and enabled them to make many friends. All in all a great holiday, enhanced by great tour operator.

Visited Aug 2013 with 2 children aged 11 & 8. Long but manageable drive from Eurotunnel. Whole family enjoyed the swimming pool and fantastic beach which can be directly accessed from the site. Small gravel pitches and other than the playground limited space for children to play. Good spot for a traditional beach holiday with plenty of activities close by but area doesn't feel as "French" as other parts of the country visited. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, beach really makes this site.

Another great holiday in Sol a Gogo in 2013. While we really enjoyed previous holidays here we all felt things were better this year under the new management. The kids club, activities and entertainments were excellent as was the accommodation and service provided by Hello France.

Room Tip: Travel by ferry and bring your car. Book early to get best location on park.

My wife and I and our seven year old daughter spent two weeks at Sol a Go Go in August.
We booked through Charles Alexander and had a two bedroom Super Titania caravan which was immaculate. There were slight niggles with the shower and BBQ but nothing to spoil a holiday, they are definitely worth a look due to the cost savings.
The area is very touristy and not 'typical' France, the bar staff are friendly and any seven year old is going to enjoy an evening disco!
The beach is fantastic and right on your door step, it can be a little choppy but just a little care is needed.
For us we were disappointed with the pool, very small and unwelcoming. It is nowhere near as big as it appears in the photos. Saying that friends of ours stayed after us and loved it, so it is personal taste.
Good places to visit are Apremont for the Chateau and river. St Gilles Croix de Vie for the night markets and restaurants. St Jean de Monts old town for the market and the Water Park just down the road (can't recall the name).
Overall very good, people were friendly, some things are just personal preference.
