This was a nice hotel, but the location was well outside Nantes, 20 minutes form city center. The rooms was rather expencive, compared to other Nantes hotels. Mani meeting rooms, I guess this is mainly a congress centre.

We went there for a couple of night. It is comfortable though very modern and a bit "cold". It is clearly a business hotel. Fees are slightly high concerning the room. Food is really not so great, many ingredient lacks freshness and they use quite a lot of processed food.

We got a good deal (85€) for a double room, which makes the hotel a good one. But don't pay more and don't expect anything fancy.

We stayed at this hotel as a base for a tour of the Loire valley. It has just been upgraded to 4 star. As the stay was included as part of the tour (half board) I can't comment on the price paid. The bedroom which we had was well appointed with a balcony overlooking the pool. It had a flat screen Tv (although the stations are all French with the exception of BBC world news) and tea and coffee making facilities although for a four star hotel I would have expected proper cups - not cardboard. I was given to understand by other people on the tour that all rooms did not have tea and coffee making facilities) The bed was kingsize and comfortable, plenty of storage space and the batroom was well appointed with a shower over the bath. The dining room is quite large but well appointed with outlook over the terrace and the pool. The continental breakfast was very good and the staff kept everything well supplied although the hotel was busy when we were there. The evening meals were good but if you do not like your meat rare tell the staff. We did not use the pool during our stay as the weather was not that good. The hotel is a bit isolated although there is a Macdonalds and a supermarket nearby. Although we enjoyed our stay at the Westotel I wouldn't choose it if it was just my wife and I travelling as it is a bit isolated and probably a bit expensive. Two drinks in the bar cost the equivalent of £13.40.

I booked this hotel for a business trip to Nantes as all the best rated (on Tripadvisor) hotels were full. I booked a mid-price room and was pleasantly surprised. It started at reception with lovely staff. The room has a large living area because the bed is on a mezzanine along with a second TV, second desk and second wardrobe; in fact the room has a vast array of cupboards and draws. A large glass door leads to a personal, though not private, patio area for the room with a single deckchair - no doubt more are available. The bathroom has a powerful shower over a bath plus a hairdryer, though the toiletries are just adequate. The work desk has a large flat screen TV with a generous choice of channels. A network cable comes out of the wall giving free access to the internet. A comfy sofa, and unusually, a separate dining table gave a good place to eat the excellent, though a little expensive, room-service meal. The full size fridge is an asset. Up the flight of stairs, which I didn’t feel were at all steep, bring you to the bedroom area with another wardrobe, desk and flat screen TV. Negatives: No tea or coffee kit, no iron or ironing board. Room temperature, controlled centrally, is set for energy efficiency; if you want it changed you have to call reception.
Breakfast is a buffet affair with a vast choice - very good.
Excellent, highly recommended
