Really great place and the cleanest campsite we have ever been to. Charming owners who bent over backwards to help us out. Loads of great walks within striking distance.

we stayed here for 6 nights in July and enjoyed every minute of it. The owners were extremely welcoming and very helpful. The location was spectacular and there plenty of walks close the campsite. I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

A very peaceful campsite nestled in a gorgeous valley high in the Pyrenees. The toilets and facitlites were immaculate and the friendly owners were always on hand to offer advice and assistance (for example we managed to run our car battery down and the car wouldn't start - within minutes Richard arrived with his car and jump leads to get us out of a difficult situation!)
The children loved paddling and swimming in the crystal clear river running by at the foot of the campsite. There is a little footbridge over the river to where you can wander in beautiful wild flower meadows alongside the river for miles. The meadows are dotted here and there with little old stone shepherd huts and barns which add even more character to the place.
Our pitch was in the perfect setting - nestled between pines to give shade from the hot sun and looking down with an unobstructed view to the river and meadows with the hamocks just off to the right.
As we were in a tent, the family room was a haven when the weather was wet on one day of our break. Needless to say the opportunites for walking are endless (we thoroughly enjoyed the 'Cirque de Cagateille' - but be careful, there are some very steep drops!) The village of Le Trein d'Ustou is lovely to wander around and the little town of Seix close by is very pretty with a tiny Casino supermarket.
All in all - a wonderful find that we would whole heartedly recommend to anyone seeking peace and tranquility in a delightful natural setting.

spent a few days here while walking through the pyrenees in sep 2010. some cracking walks in the local area, especially the one with the lakes. Can't remember what it's called - owners will be able to tell you. very handy and comfortable mobile homes to stay in too if you're a bit tired of camping all the time. smashing little restaurant down the road as well!

We camped here for 5 days at the start of September and the site was very quite, only four other campers on site. The site is well laid out, well maintained and very clean. There is an abundance of walks which can be started from the campsite or within very short distances from the site - all very well signed. Overall it was a superb site and they were very happy to accept our two dogs.

very warm welcome indeed, the owners are a very friendly couple, and they've realized a perfect campsite for those who are looking for comfort, tranquillity, and the best pizza's in France! Pitches are spacious and shady, sanitary blocks are clean, and fresh bread is delivered every morning. Great walks in the nearby surroundings, a.o. one direct from the campsite, and also the GR 10 passes by. No swimmingpool, no bar-disco, no animation, just perfect!
