Just returned from another truly relaxing week at Salazar - the minute you turn into the courtyard and Paulette comes out to greet you, smiling as ever, you know you are going to have a great time. So wonderful to be back again - to just drift around or sit by the pool or go fishing - and, of course, to be able to sit outside on a warm evening at the candlelit table in front of the Pigeonniere, or cosy in the Mill Room, and eat some of Paulette's delicious food - part of what makes this such a great place. A little late this year for the sunflowers in all their glory but the Quercy countryside is beautiful and well worth a drive around, with lots of interesting little towns and villages to explore. Missing it all already!
If you are looking for rural surroundings with quality accommodation, a beautiful pool, stunningly maintained grounds in which to relax and enjoy the tranquility of this area, then look no further than here. Onsite assistance from the hostess is a huge help if you want information on anything to do in the area and even restaurant reservations if you dont speak the lingo. The personal touches are everywhere in this property and certainly not what you would expect from a self catering facility. I have visited with my husband more times than I wish to count, and each time has given us a really special memory. Great food and of course, endless wines and champagnes to choose from for all budgets means that if you visit as a couple or with friends, you can enjoy the local delights and have more than a litlte fun in doing so. Dont hesitate - almost everyone who visits, returns as soon as they can!
