Salazar is a gracious old watermill complex set in perfect tranquility, lots of mature trees to shadily read that book, outdoor space set out for that private romantic supper or enough room for a large family barbecue. The apartment, one of four, was large, modern and very light with everything you could possibly need provided for.We spent three days here,it wasnt long enough.I had never been to this sleepy corner of France before and it stole my heart..The landscape is stunning, small fields, small lanes, abundant birds, animals and lots of different butterflies. We visited local markets .bought lots of food and came back to Salazar and banqueted,it is fruit growing area so loads of cherries, peaches and the famous "Agen" prunes,we managed too many long lunches in the beautiful old "bastide "town of Lauzerte.Paulette the owner is English but turned native so is a mine of local information and helpfulness, jolly good company as well.It is about an hour from Toulouse,it would be a good place to weekend from there, easily reachable from Bergerac airport, 45 mins by car.Must return, thanks Paulette and to the other guests who were equally charming company.
