We stayed in Pacific Club Resort on the recent trip to Phuket. Our original plan was to stay here for 4 days, but we cut it short to 2 days since it was incredibly expensive to get around from Karon to Patong. I'll summarise the pros and cons.

Pros
- Serene, tucked away location that is away from the street noise
- Roof Top pool rocks, although it wasnt as large as what I thought it out to be, but it had some secluded areas to spend some peace and quiet with your loved one
- Jacuzzi & Herbal suana open till midnight. I was told that the suana was fantastic.
- Reception service quick & prompt, and everything can be charged to the room, including shuttle rides.
- Free wireless internet available
- Towels arranged in a heart shape manner for new arrivals, quite sweet!

Cons
- Really isolated. Its about a 7 min walk to the main road, and a further 5 mins to Karon town. The route is through some rather dilapidated roads and one might find it dodgy. Perfectly fine during the day, just watch out for centipedes on the road.
- There were mosquitos/sand flies in my room.
- Wireless internet is quite slow, not recommended for VPN usage.
- The quality of food at In house restaurant could be improved.

Other observations:
- Tuk Tuk's dont really know the place, so be prepared to give your own directions
- Tuk Tuk & hotel charges 300baht to/from Patong Beach

Myself and family just spent 4 months travelling asia and america. Considering all aspects this was by far the best hotel we stayed at on the entire trip. For 10 nights We had a 2 bedroom suite which was fantastic, roomy, comfortable huge balcony and great views. The service was exceptional thanks to mickey. Let me tell you this guy is an absolute star and prior to being here he has spent 20 plus years on cruise ships. This guy knows service better than anyone i have ever seen and also many thanks to his staff Ead, rat, a, and noke. The food was great and the ambience in the hotel awesome. This is a first for me but I am really struggling to say something negative about the place. It is a bit of a walk into town but good exercise. We usually walked in for dinner and got a tuk tuk home no problem. All in all I give this place 5 stars. Go check it out when in Phuket!

Really good hotel. We spent a few days in mid May after we had to cancel plans to Bangkok due to the ongoing riots at the time. The hotel was really good, staff were friendly, greeting us with a welcome drink upon arrival. The hotel facilities were excellent we utlised the rooftop pool during where you get an amazing view of beach and the lush tropical hills and used the sauna. We made some really good friends, really friendly people. The only downside would be that the location isnt the best as the nearby sidestreets leading to the hotel feel a bit rundown. It is about a 15 min walk from the main night hotspots but all in all - a really good hotel with a really friendly atmosphere.

Nothing can get better than this hotel in terms of value for money. Wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in May and I can pretty confidently say that this stay was better than some of my 5-star hotel stays. Rooms are excellent and spacious (with huge balconies), food is very good, facilities in the hotel (like jacuzzi, sauna, roof top swimming pool, free internet and with a computer at reception for those who don't have computer) are top class and service is out of this world. I repeat it here again - this hotel though priced so decently is better than some 5 star hotels in terms of quality and the experience it provides to the customers. Just one little grouse - it is about 15 mins walk (8-10 mins from beach) from the Karon market and walking back in the night with all those street dogs around gets little scary, that's why from first day onwards, we started using Tuk-tuk. Even with Tuk-tuk's charges added to this room's rate, it is a way better deal than many similar hotels around. My special thanks to staff people - Micky, Rat, Beer, Nok, Ead and Ole for making our stay comfortable and giving us that one experience we will always cherish. We are vegetarians and Micky (F&B manager) took pains in providing vegetarian meals that were not there in the menu. Uncle Eric, you have a winning team - in future, if I start something in hospitality industry, I am going to come to you for tips :-)

We kindly Thank You for such an excellent review and telling the world we're acheiving our goal.

It makes us feel very special when a guest who's traveled so much through Asia and California, reviewed 22 other hotels, and given only 7 of them a 5 star satisfaction rating, chose to award us with one of those 5's.

After reading your review as we do all reviews, it became apparent that we failed on something, because based on your comment of walking distances, you didn't get the walking map at check in. At the 7-11 about two minutes before you get to the beach, our walking guests can take a shortcut through the parking lot behind 7-11 which cuts through directly to the center of Karon Village (rather than walking the way a car would drive). That cuts off about half the walk and make the distance to town center about 8 minutes walk or roughly the same or a little closer than the beach (or maybe a little longer if you enjoy the open air market along the shortcut :-)

We kindly apologize for not getting that information to you and kindly encourage everyone to check the Google Map in our website before arrival and please don't forget to zoom in and click on the red lines to see the notes about what's what and where's where. We have also bookmarked the map on the public computer in the lobby. Also, I've asked my staff to try and be more proactive on emphasizing the walking map at check in as well.

* We also offer a shuttle service for folks who don't feel like walking :-)

Once again Thank You kindly for choosing to visit us and taking the time to place such a nice review and photos for the world to see and for the personal compliment too :-).

Eric

Congratulations to the Owner (Uncle Eric) and All the Staff, We Love this place.
Greeted by a friendly smile by our driver (JALOOM) sorry if its spelt wrong.
We had never been to Phuket before and were made to feel at ease straight away, shown some places of interest and learned a bit as we made our way to Karon.
Miss KUNG made check in happen so smoothly (even though I had to return shortly after inquiring about our wifi access). Our room was on the top floor (just below the roof pool deck), was spacious and had all the facilities we required, the bed was massive and very comfortable.
We had a good view of Karon from our balcony.
Housekeeping kept our room refreshed and immaculate which was appreciated greatly,
Thank you to SAO.
Room service and Restaurant staff Headed by Mickey were A1,
we had all our meals in house, except for only 1 or 2 occasions .
Our Vegetarian status wasn't a problem at all here. Special thanks to EAD, this man tries so hard to make everything right, O'LE for her service and patience teaching us THAI, also RAT,BEER, NOK,and AEY for making us feel so welcome each and every time we entered the restaurant.
The Food was awesome thanks to TON, PHA and JACK(sorry translation fail) she cooked in the mornings).
The reception staff also helped with hiring of a scooter and when it had a flat tyre even organised its repair, thank you so much GAY.
The position of the resort was back from the beach slightly, but for us it was a buffer from the hussle and bussle. We enjoyed the walk to the beach and main street and back again. It was also fantastic to be surrounded by so much native flora.
For us being of simple needs, Pacific Club Resort provided exceptional quality and value for money but mostly we felt overwhelmed by the friendliness and hospitality of all the staff here and we will return again and again when possible because of this fact.

Thank you so much,
Carl & Susan Dixon
