We turned up too late for the guided tour at 11, and had to wait until the next tour at 12.30. There are no means of booking when you're at the site even though there's a small interpretative centre 100 yards from the cave. So we waited on the site rather than drive down to the village again.
The caves are worth the wait. There are a lot of steps all the way down, and a lot of steps all the way back up. The guide spoke in Spanish, but she provided a page in English with an explanation.
It was fascinating walking through the different chambers. We saw stalagmites and stalactites, cave drawings, and where they had found human bones. Also a few bats - nothing to worry about.
It's also nice and cool on a hot day!
