“Good option and actually conveniently connected to CDG airport”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2012

This is a decent hotel. Rooms are equipped with good and usable kitchen with utensils, microwave , hotplate, fridge, etc. Staff and service are OK which means they will help you with basics and will reply to your queries, but don't expect them to be overly friendly or ever smiling :-)

There is a small convenience store when you come out of Liberte station. I don't remember exact location and you might have to ask few people to find it.

Hotel is close (well, actually around 5 minutes walk) to two metro stations on Metro Line 8 - Porte De Charenton (it is in Zone 1) and Liberte (Zone 2). So, you don't need to worry about cost of travelling whether you are using t+ or paris visit pass.

More importantly, I found it conveniently connected by to CDG Aiport. And, this I discovered on my own as hotel staff did not have any info about this. If you have time on your side (which we had), then you just need to walk 5 minutes to 'Porte de Charenton' bus stop which is next to stairs that take you down to 'Porte De Charenton' metro station.

From there take Bus PC2 and get down at 'Porte de Vincennes' and take Bus no. 351 which takes you straight to CDG airport though it takes around an hour.

If you have luggage with you and have time, then you will find this most convenient (changing buses with luggage is super easy compared to metros where you have climb stairs) without spending too much of money (total trip will take 3 t+ tickets).

So, if you are looking for good place to stay where you can cook, do not want to spend too much by staying in Central Paris and don't expect too much from hotel staff (anyways you will be out for most of the time, right?) you can certainly stay here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with view of Eiffel Tower. You can actually see Eiffel Tower from the rooms which hav...

The hotel is nice, clean, big, but once you are there the staff really don't help much, they are not gentile.
Beds are small and not comfortable.
Rooms are fine, clean and equiped with tv, mini kitchen, microwave, fridge. Closet, desk, small table and of course with a nice and big bathroom.
One of the biggest problem is that the wifi really sucks. You have to go to the front desk to get signal, but only in front of the front desk, because in the living room NO SIGNAL.
In the nights, the place are so crowd with all guests trying to get internet on their tablets and lap tops.
2 Metro Station close and a big super market close (Simply Market).
The neighborhood is nice and relaxed.

Online, the hotel looked great! However, once we arrived, the room was not as pictured online, the room overlooked a grave yard, the price was way too high for the area it was in. Outside, there was graffiti everywhere and I would never walk around outside in that area alone, ever. The area didn't feel safe or welcoming and the staff wasn't either! I was grateful that they spoke English, and they did give us a refund for our second night so we could go stay somewhere else, but not even an hour after we checked in, they refused to give us a refund even though it was nothing like advertised.

I thought this hotel would be noisy having been next to a highway so I requested a back room which is really quiet. It has double door that isolates the noise from the hallway. It is like a little appartment, it has everything that I needed. It also has a small safe where you can leave your precious belongings in there. The only complaint I have is the carpet. It doesn't seem to be clean, or it could be just the color. At any rate, I always bring a house sleeper when I travel and I don't walk barefoot at any hotel that I stayed. This facility includes a kitchenette which is really handy to save on meals. I cooked my own food. There is a grocery store and a bakery nearby. The neighborhood is safe even late at night. This place is not a walking distance to the main attractions, but the metro is just a few minutes away.

My daughter and I stayed here in an apartment for about a month while she was doing research at the archives in Paris. Charenton le Pont, right on the border of the 12th Arrondissement, appears to be a nice middle class suburb only 3 miles from the heart of Paris. The Adagio Access is within easy walking distance of a number of decent restaurants, a large grocery store and plenty of other shops. Two metro stops (Liberte and Porte de Charenton) are each less than five minutes walk. It only takes about 15 minutes to be in the middle of Paris, even during rush hour.

The air conditioned rooms are quiet and comfortable with fairly fast free internet, a good sized bath area and a small, well-equipped kitchen area. There is free wireless internet in the lobby area which has a number of couches, comfortable chairs and tables. A nice looking breakfast is also available, although we never tried it. All the staff we dealt with were polite and efficient. A wide-range of travelers from all over the world stay here ranging from business types to families to school tour groups.

All in all, the Adagio Access Porte de Charenton proved to be both affordable and a good place for an extended stay in Paris.
