We were on a two week holiday and had covered already a lot of busy coastline before coming to this place. So yes, I really wanted to stay at a place with (almost) nothing to do. In that way, this review can be a bit biased.
So we found Sa Lolla.
First of all, it's a perfect base to explore the nesco World Heritage 'Nuraghe' Su Nuraxi.
Second, the food is really good. The menu is basic (as it should be in Italy). With some brilliant choices. Accompanied with solid wines. True, the restaurant and rooms and lighting and airco and service could do better. Everything could feel a bit outdated. Do not expect luxury dining here with tuned tableclothes. On the other hand this is a place where you should focus on what is there instead of what is missing. And that is a lovely night (or two) in a wonderfull garden were you can experience Sardinia in a different way. And let the slow service remind you that you're not in a hurry that night.More
