Spoil Yourself!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jan 23, 2013
We had some cash left over and Inle Lake was our last stop before heading home - so we decided to spend our last two nights on the lake... we got so much more than we expected!!

The lake is so beautiful and quiet after the hustle and noise of the last few days in Nyaung Shwe. The staff are amazing! - the room was beautiful with our own private view of the lake... we even got a love note on our pillow when we returned from dinner - with hot water bottles heating our bed.
A great way to end our holiday in a wonderful country!
Date of stay: January 2013
Room Tip: ask for a room facing the lake - great to watch the sun setting over the lake from your own...

There is nothing like waking up and looking out from your bed and room to see mist coming off the lake, and then it clearing to being calm and clear.
Located on the lake, you deserve at least one night to enjoy the experience.
We were lucky enough to meet up with an excellent foreign guide, Keith of Slow Burma Travel, and he showed us around the lake and the hills around for two days, which really made our time there.
You can find him at Mr A Tun's travel agency on the main street.
Would stay at this place again.

Since the hotel has all motors turned off about 50 meters from the entrance I don´t know what one of the reviewers was complaining about. It´s a big lake with lots of small boats...use ear plugs.

The cabins are wonderful. Double beds, a lovely seating area (small living room) mlooking out onto the comfy porch, an alcove with desk, big bath with tub and outdoor shower.

Food wasn´t New York City but there were plenty of choices and they did have Burmese dishes.

My private tours generally started about 8:30 and ended about three so there was time for a delightful spa treatment before dinner. The music started at 7 or 7 ;30 and ended by eleven.

I slept like a lamb

BEWARD the local gin is dreadful and if I wanted a martini there agin it would be Gordon´s straigh up!!!! The Vermouth is suspicious as well :-)

Room tip: I was one row back and had a lake view. If you want ful on lake view you will pay for it and might possible hear more motors.

For any social and environmental conscience people, this place shall be avoided. This resort has an imposing structure on the lake, perhaps the largest hotel in the area and is owned by the cronies of the repressive military government. The breakfast is totally catered to the western tourists' taste. We ended up in this resort by accident. For our next trip, we will definitely choose a place with less environmental impact.

I do not have much to add. Reviews are extremely individual. My wife and I found this resort excellent. In all respects: clean, service, food - you name it. And we have worked in Aia since 1987. EXCELLENT.

Room tip: There might other resorts but this one is great. Your have to chose either mountain side (morning sun) or lake side ( afternoon sun)

This was part of our rest and relax part after a week long of charity work in various part of Myanmar. It was a perfect conclusion for the mission. We had about 100pax, but could only get enough rooms for about 90.
This is one of the best hotels that we had stayed in many years of traveling.
It is so beautiful in the midst of the nature.
Weather was excellent, cool and air is so fresh.
The rooms are so big and very tastefully decorated to fit the environment.
Our chalets on the lake was like floating in the clouds of mist in the early morning, the sights were heavenly.
The sunset was heavenly, with so many hues of colors that filled the horizon.
The most excellent part of this resort is their people, the service staff. They were so friendly and obliging. On the day of our departure, we need to have breakfast at 4am, and had just arranged for simple breakfast night before. Guessed what, we were greeted with full buffet course and all the restaurant staff were there to serve us in the very cold morning. We were so touched and full of admiration for such dedicated and wonderful staff.
We salute Myanmar Treasure Inle Lake for having such committed friendly staff that had complimented the beautiful resort.
We will be back ...
