“What we imagined - quaint, comfortable and tranquil”

The old winery at Noizeret was what we had hoped a country cottage in France would be. Character in spades, quintessentially French, comfortable and well-equiped - all in a tranquil setting. Located in a tiny village somewhat off the beaten track, but well furnished with books, videos, CDs and puzzles to make for a relaxing change to normal life. No cooling was a bit of a problem given that we visited during a heat wave. There is no a/c, not even a fan, and the fridge has issues. The stone building gradually got hotter and the last 2 nights were tough sleeping (or not). Despite that, we would not hesitate to go again, just try to pick a time with cooler weather :-)

“Burgundy Gem”

We stayed for one week in August in this gite with our New Zealand friends. It was way beyond our expectations and the photo on the web site do not do it justice.Set in a rural hamlet, the setting is idyllic, just the place to relax and chill out. Communication with the owners was excellent, both during the-reservation process and the posting of the keys. Both bedrooms have double comfortable beds and ensuite facilities.
Kitchen is well equipped with oven and hob, microwave and large fridgefreezer. Washing machine and tumble dryer in the old building which retains the original wine press ( but no full wine bottles!) Couches has restaurants, baker ( best croissants ever), butcher and supermarche. Autun, Beaune and Nolay within an easy drive.I thoroughly recommend the Winery.
