“A must do for anybody in Burgundy who loves wine and beautiful countryside”
Reviewed July 22, 2011

We visited Chablis in July 2011 and decided to take a Vititours 3 hour trip around the area. This was an excellent decision. The trip included a visit to the vineyards around Chablis (where Franck, our guide, explained how the wine was actually made from start to finish), a visit to the wine cellar of one of the best producers of Chablis, and - of course - a highly enjoyable tasting experience where we got to try the full range of Chablis wines. Franck was highly knowledgeable - not just about the wine and vineyards; but also about how to make the best of our time in the region. He clearly enjoys his work and it was an absolute pleasure to spend 2 hours with him. At the end of the trip Franck went the extra mile for us by booking us into and dropping us off at an excellent restaurant for dinner. Franck is just a lovely guy, a true ambassador for the people and products of Chablis.

“Best wine tour experience ever”
Reviewed July 19, 2011

What makes great holidays is not only what you see, what you learned, what you eat etc.. It is also the people you meet on your journey. We were so delighted to meet Franck Chretien who was our guide when we visited Chablis. Franck is very knowledgeable and has a great way to communicate his knowledge and passion for the region. After spending only 90 minutes with Franck, we knew so much about the Chablis terroir, its history and the challenges/complexity of Chablis wine making. We also had the chance to have a taste while overlooking the beautiful Chablis region. Thanks to Franck, we have a new appreciation for Chablis !

After visiting many wine regions around the world, I would strongly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Chablis !

“Chablis -- A Great Tour with Franck!”
Reviewed July 3, 2011

I'll never JUST look at another bottle of Chablis again..., especially after a fantastic tour with Franck. My husband and I decided to take a private tour -- the 90 minute one -- in Chablis, France. I had great communication with the owner of the tour, Franck Chretien, prior to our visit, and I decided that we would meet up with him at the tourist center in Chablis for a quick tour of the vineyards surrounding Chablis. It was so much more than a quick tour! We learned so much about about the how the perfect grape is grown -- from the soil to the location to the time of the day the grape is havested. We now know the difference between a Chablis and a TRUE Chablis based on the label, etc. We visited when the harvest was taking place, and we were able to see the machines running up and down the slopes as well as workers and runners mimmicing the machines. Hand-picked vineyards! Incredible! We met one of the machine operators and his son while he took a quick break. We were able to get great pictures of the machine and the grapes it had harvested. To top it off, we had a quick toast and a quick glass of wine before returning to Chablis for lunch at Le Syracuse. Lastly, I must say that we ended up purchasing a 1/2 case of Grand Cru, which have only been consumed for special occasions. I loved this tour, and I highly recommend anyone -- from novice to sommelier -- to take a tour with Franck!
