“Great staff, great location, great holiday.”

We (2 adults and a 2.5yr old toddler) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was basic but provided everything we needed; staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful; and the location was perfect. We happened to be there during the hottest weather of the summer, so the pool and the shaded outdoor dining tables were much appreciated. Highly recommended.

My room was perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable but I was staying alone. The room would be small for a couple. It has been renovated fairly recently so the bathroom and air conditioning were both great.

Outside restauarant/bar area is lovely to sit outside over a drink.

Other observations:
Pool is pleasant but very small, so if you want to swim lengths you will be disappointed. I would estimate about 8m long. It's fine for kids splashing about. There was confusion as to whether you could take drinks down to the pool. Some of the bar staff were adamant - no glass by the pool (there are no plastic glasses available apparently) but others would bring down trays.

Some of the older rooms have no air conditioning but cost the same price.

Hair dryer in room is the bolted-on-the wall machine kind.

Breakfast was fine but not exciting; toast, croisant, limited selection of cereals, fruit and sliced ham/cheese.

I had a good room rate as was staying as pat of a large group so had a negotiated discount rate. This made it extremely good value for me. I think the full room rate is probably less good value.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with air conditioning as at July 2013 most but not all do.

Booked a 1 night stay with our children in the family suite. Right here's the good news....the family suite is excellent, perfect for families in every way, although the shower is very weak. Nice quiet location, free parking, reasonable breakfast and lovely staff. Now the bad points....the hotel decor is half stuck between the 1980's and 2013 and confused. The restaurant is also in a time warp. Billed as being gastromonic but is definitely not, serving an odd mix of inferior quality ingredients, trying to be clever and inventive but not making the mark. Very eclectic mix of clientel mainly of the 70 plus age group intermixed with many single business people, older couples and us, the only family at the time. They offer free wifi but this does not work in the bedroom and drops out regularly in other areas. The swimming pool area needs work. Rather cool air temp and could do with a deep clean. The mural on the wall is in a terrible condition with paint flaking badly. The hot tub has many functions not working and was rather cool. We also found a large piece of glass in the pool from a broken pool light. We got out of the pool on finding this and informed reception to which the maintenance man rushed in, removed the light and locked the area which was exactly the right thing to do. So, there is plenty of potential and they are working on it but the basics of cleaning cobwebs from restaurant windows, as well as dirt for example are easily fixed and help make the difference. I wouldn't however choose to stay here again.

Lovely place, relaxing and very hospitable, especially the bar/restaurant staff, couldn’t be more helpful.
New and clean rooms and very comfortable lovely surroundings, relaxing around the pool area. Loved seeing the horses there. Beautiful views while your having your breakfast or dinner. Breakfast mainly breads, yogurts and fruit - 11 euro and dinner amazing choices - food really delicious. Only small negative, little bit too far from Bordeaux airport (1hour 15), we arrived late at night and it was a bit hard finding it in the dark, as the hotel is in really rural area. Car is a must! And not really much to see in Bazas. So plan to see other towns while your there, unless you just want to relax by the pool, then your in a perfect place for it.

We stayed in a recently renovated part of the hotel and we were really impressed - it was excellent value. Not big rooms, but modern, clean and comfortable. The hotel seemed to be used for business conferences each day we were there. The two swimming pools are a real highlight and the indoor pool, in particular, was great. Bazas is a quaint town and close to wine regions. There's not much else around, but we drove to Bordeaux (45 mins) and Arcachon (1 hr 15 mins).

We had a wonderful holiday here, the hotel is so pretty, with wonderful food and hospitality, the bedrroms were comfortable and we were in the main part of the hotel with a bedroom overlooking the fountain, The hotel staff were so accomodating and the service was excellent. We ate lunch at the hotel every day at 17 euros for 3 courses it was brilliant value and beautifully cooked. The hotel is on the outskirts of Baza where there are great little shops and cafes, unspoilt by too many tourists, just a lovely place to chill. A little piece of france held in time.
