We stayed for 10 days (of superb weather) in July 2013. Pitches were generously sized. and mostoffering some shade, facilities very adequate, and spotless. The bar was a pleasant social for evenings (and still serving until after 11 p.m.). No restaurant, but visiting caterers on various nights offering Thai food, Sushi, burgers. We would very happily stay there again/

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days on our camping trip around France, and this campsite was by far the best one we stayed on. Whats not to love about here? amazing views of the Chateau as you lounge by the (heated) swimming pool, decent sized pitches and spotless shower and toilet facilities, beautiful sunsets as you stroll down the river. It also conveniently has a shop, butchers and bakery across the road from it, along with some lovely restaurants dotted around nearby. The bar/social area was large and comfortable but was a bit quiet in the evenings. Staff on this site were super friendly and helpful.
They can arrange for you to be picked up for a canoe the river which is spectacular, the campsite is a great base for going to explore some other amazing natural attractions such as The Lascaux Caves and Gouffre de Padirac.

This is a big campsite by the Dordogne and below Beynac. Decent sized pitches, although lacking somewhat in grass this early in the season so we had to pitch on mud - never desirable- although there was grass around the tent , just none underneath. Mostly caravans and camper vans but some tents and there are some safari tents for hire too. Really good toilet and shower facilities which were constantly being cleaned - plus the excellent addition of free hair dryers available . Washing and drying facilities too. Excellent pool and games area and canoeing could be arranged also. Big bar area and terrace plus regular special events/ food opportunities , Japanese and Thai whilst we were there. Outside the campsite are 3 shops which cater for most needs although there are cafes, shops and restaurants in Beynac which is easily within a gentle stroll from the campsite.

This is a big campsite which attracts lots of different nationalities , if you want something more intimate , this might not for you. We were touring so it was good for a few days. The hosts were very friendly which is always a bonus. Very good value at 15e per night for such excellent facilities.

Room Tip: Don't camp near the road , very noisy

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one week in one of the luxury safari tents. We cannot fault the campsite. The owners were friendly and happy to answer any queries. The tent was spacious with running water, electricity and a basic but comfortable bed. The showers and toilets were a little walk away but were always clean and well kept. The bar was open until 10 pm every evening and provided a nice atmosphere for a few evening drinks. There are a few shops just across the road from the campsite including a boulangerie and 'general' shop. Beynac itself is a beautiful little village, it has a few restaurants and souvenir shops and the chateau is well worth a visit. All in all a wonderful week.

We had over a week here. It is a lovely campsite, just a pity the weather wasn't better while we were there.
There are shops across the road which runs along the campsite, which is good, but you have to be aware, there is a delivery which comes to these shops about 4.30am in the morning, woke us up regularly, and the dogs across the way too. They barked too much for our liking!
As we were camping, and the weather was cold, it would have been good if the social area by the bar was open longer than 7pm, not late enough for us personally as often it was after 7pm when we got back to the site. Quite a few campers with tents moved on because of the weather, and I think they would have stayed longer if this area had been open later and more welcoming, ie. with the log fire lit.
All in all though, we enjoyed our stay, with the help of ear plugs and warm blankets.
