We couldn't believe our luck in finding this place - and re-finding it the following night, too!
Auberge Obschel is wonderfully remote, superbly relaxed and utterly without pretence. It's just a great, laid-back restaurant in a characterful cabin deep in the woods. The service is incredibly friendly, the food is simple and delicious, and the local wines are excellent too.
On a nice night, you can sit out on the picnic benches and gaze up at the stars (no light pollution around here!) and on a colder eve, the interior is cosy and comfortable.
We would have happily returned for a third night if we could have done. As a Londoner, this is the kind of place you dream of - great value, wonderfully relaxing, and delicious, honest food and wine. Highly recommended.
