“What a Xmas lunch”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

I had the taster menu for 17 euros - it was excellent and gave me a chance to try some of the restaurants food. My husband had 3 courses and enjoyed them all. Very friendly and welcoming despite me changing my booking a few times! The atmosphere was great with lots of Spanish families eating out on the 25th. Would definately eat there again next time we are in the area and would highly recommend it to everyone.

“Great food, not to be missed”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

Friendly, welcoming and great, traditional Spanish food - what more do you want from a restaurant? We have been to their cookery evenings and to one of their "themed" evenings (Gin and Tonic) and have loved the food and the ambiance. We recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Spanish food.

“Super food”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

I go every month to the cookery class where chef Elisa demonstrates how to cook the menu which is later served and the food is always excellent. Everyone is provided with instructions on how to cook the dishes and she gives you lots of interesting tips on what to do or not to do. Cost is just 12€ and includes a glass of wine. - great value.

Well worth a visit

“Another fantastic meal at Alborada”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Elisas cooking never cease to surprise
We thoroughly enjoyed last evenings cookery course when we
had a Puchero for starters , then went on to Bacalao confitado en salsa de Mandarinas , and finishing with Gachas dulces con miel y cruttones de Pan crujiente.
Top rating - 5 stars and we'll sure be there again very soonish.

“Simply the best”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

During the six years that we have lived in Benalmadena we have sampled the delights (or otherwise) of many restaurants but none can compare with the Alborada. Juan and Elisa are the most welcoming of hosts and Maria, the English speaking waitress, is always helpful. As for the food it's superb and offers the diner a variety of tastes and textures. Look out for the restaurant's special events such as the Gin and Tonica evenings. If you are a resident then sign up for one of Elisa's monthly Spanish Cookery Workshops and learn how to prepare fresh ingredients in the traditional Spanish way. We were there last night and I wil now be able to prepare my favourite cod in mandarin sauce at home.!
